Injury at practice today

George Burhenn was carted off the field today (prayers for him).

A shame, because he's been projected as the top TE. We saw him make a leaping catch in the endzone surrounded by 2 or 3 defenders. It would qualify as a top ten play if it had happened in a game.
Any news on him ?

Any observations of any other players that looked especially good?

Wish I could answer that, but the practice was indoors. There's an incredibly large number of players, with recruits and their parents. Very difficult to see what is going on, since they tend to coral you in a group and the lighting indoors is not very good.

There were a couple of youtube videos after the practice that discussed who were making moves.

I have talked to many parents of players and with only one exception, the players seemed to be very positive about the staff.

sounds more and more like Purdue will be a running team this year.
I would say so. First of all, there is nothing at WR. Second, Dienhart says they don't have a starting QB on the roster right now and are going to be searching in the portal after spring ball. Granted, I don't usually take Tom all that seriously, but he's the only guy watching and reporting.

Tom is too busy asking the hard hitting questions of what the players favorite fast food is. He doesn't know shit and there is certainly a QB that is #1

Well obviously we have a #1 QB… as does every other football team on the planet… but is that #1 QB capable of moving the ball and scoring touchdowns?

Sounds like there is talent at QB, but very little to no experience among the group. Makes sense to look for an experienced QB and maybe some WR help when the portal opens up next week. But who knows what options will be available.

The RB group sounds really promising.
