The new norm. I hate to think that college will go the way of NBA and "you don't play until the playoffs", but who knows? The prior #1 record beat down was Houston getting pantsed by UCLA by 32 points. This could beat that. Georgia also taking it to ol Ken-tuk, if the dogs could hit a FF they'd put it away for good. two misses on a flagrant, and they were UGLY misses.

I can't recall a season where so many top 10 teams are not just losing, but getting completely thrashed.
Auburn, Duke, and Iowa State are all worthy of #1 votes. But of all those teams, to me Auburn seems most immune to a future 20+ loss. Duke seems most susceptible due to their youth.
1000% agree, After iu, Tenn is my favorite team to root against.
During halftime of the FL/UT game, the studio guys said that Auburn starts 5 seniors and brings 3 more off the bench. That's crazy.
Schools typically use a ball of whatever shoe deal they have. I don't know if that's changed or not though. NCAA tourney will use Wilson. Most schools will use Nike, Adidas or Under Armour. Most schools in the SEC are Nike though. I think last night was just a case of not being able to hit anything to save their lives.
As I said this was an issue several years ago. There were a couple of teams in the Big 10 that used the different brand of ball and it was the players who were complaining the different ball had a different feel. And the team that used that different ball had a very different record at home .
They all have different feels. That is true. And for a shooter, it can make a difference. The Wilson EVO balls(different from the GOAT basketball that's the evolution) are absolute pure garbage. They are the super bright orange ones you'll see at times. They feel like nerf basketball. God awful to shoot with. Nike, Adidas and Under Armour are not as soft but all 3 feel different from each other. The Evolutions, which is what all Indiana high schools use, is the perfect basketball. Literally one of the greatest creations of mankind.
They are not any worse than what NC State was last year. Purdue just needs their bracket to fall their way, and then, take advantage of it. It could happen, but agreed, unlikely.
We will definitely be better next year for sure. However, I do not see us buying that missing piece or two to get there though like other schools do.
Need to get on board and start exploring that option(s).
I know Painter doesn't like the portal/NIL, but if he thinks he has some pieces to a NC contender next year, he's gonna have to use the portal to fill a few holes.
