Yes, agreed on all counts...especially the arguments.....haha.

These are fluid, but I think Purdue will be in decent shape with Q1, Q2 opportunities. 3-1 Quad 1 record right now.

Meh. For me it isn't an either/or proposition. It is both/and. I care about where we are ranked now and in March too. Both matter to national perception.

Several teams experience a lackluster regular season but perform well in the NCAAT. Does anyone recall MSU's sweet 16 run from last year? It's already become a distant memory. If it was coupled with a great regular season perhaps it would have been more memorable.

Some of Keady's teams achieved similar feats (see years 1997-2000). Personally, I don't find much satisfaction in a decent tournament run if it doesn't align with a solid regular season. There's something about it that feels, well, unauthentic.
