if you look back and remember the Hazell era, they actually played close in the first half, and got tired, and would get run over in the 4th quarter. Hazell's plan was to have small but quick defensive linemen. the problem was they got tired of always running around the BIG tackles, and after 3 quarters had nothing left to give. and if the opponent had a running attack, they would just walk right over us in that last quarter.

Hazell would have won a few more games if his receivers could make a clutch 3rd down catch.
