Mathematically, this is not the case I know but with our remaining scheduled and the Wisc blue print to beat Purdue now out there, does Nebraska lbecome a must win game?

Purdue @ Neb (win)
MSU @ Purdue (maybe)
Purdue @ OSU (maybe)
Purdue @NWU (maybe)
IU @ Purdue (win)

I'd like to win out but could see 2 loses (or more) if we can't open up the offense.

Nobody else on the schedule does what Wisconsin does

Yeah, Saturday is definitely an important game. One other thing to consider is from here on out, weather will be a factor, especially into November. Hope we can get our running game going again

I’ve said since the preseason we’d be 5-6 heading into the bucket game so we need to win one. I also told my IU neighbor that they’d be 5-6 and he scoffed at that and for good reason, will they be 2-9 or 3-8? I think his scoffing was because he thought #9winindinia.

No. I’d expect a good game, but not a must win. Without a doubt, our offense needs to get going. How do they do that next? Get the play calling card out of Coach Jeff Brohm’s hands. He is not an offensive coordinator. Put it in Brian Brohm’s hands immediately! CJB should only have the card stuffed into the front of his pants much like NFL coaches and reference in situational needs (4th and short, 3rd and lonnnggg, or end of game points drive). He needs to monitor the game, find and exploit weaknesses and save his darn TO’s). He was out of synch and the offense reflected that immensely.

Be the CEO he is paid to be.
I have to be honest. I don’t know if JT did that or not, but high end coaches trust their Coordinators and make adjustments when needed.

Are you the same person with neighbor that his wife is ahem…a bit fake looking top heavy so to speak?

Agree with the rest but come on now
Yeah, I'm expecting a 47-13 beat down. It’s really unfortunate because we should be 5-5 against them in the last ten games but Hope f’ed up that game at their house when we were up with a minute to play. “Nobody can beat tOSU!”

I see next week as more likely. I'm just not sold on MSU's pass defense. It would be very rare to win at both Iowa and Nebraska. Think we can control the ball enough against MSU to keep their run game from taking over like Wisconsin did. Just need some decent November weather.

It's important to how Brohm is perceived. He will keep losing followers with every loss. His coaching and recruiting will be questioned especially on these boards.

Must win for what? A Music City Bowl Bid? In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter if Purdue is 7-5 or 5-7, the program will be measured about the same going forward. If we were 3-9 or 9-3 then maybe the program would be viewed differently but with Brohm we're thought of as a .500 type (or a little less) program so I don't think it matters.

Don't get me wrong, I cheer for a win every weekend but I'm not packing my bags to go to Detroit or Nashville in the middle of December no matter if Purdue is there or not.

I think I'd much rather be 7-5 (which a chance for 8 wins in the bowl) than 5-7.

Detroit? No ‘effin way.
Nashville? Absolutely!
Hail Purdue!

Here's my unscientific win percentage for each game. Flame all you want...

Nebraska 42%
MSU 39%
OSU 2%
Northwestern 57%
Inidina 67%

Currently that's about right except isn't it spelled Indinia?

Also by the time of the Bucket Indinia could be 2-9 and I might change that percentage.

Seems reasonable. I'd swap Neb/MSU, bump NW to about 65%, and bump OSU to 5% or so based on recent history.

Again? When was it ever going to begin with?

I would have thought the Wis game was a must win to validate the Iowa win and get the Wis boogeyman off PUs back. Instead, we $hit the bed.
I think our D is good enough to win, the question is, will the O be able to put up more than 13 points.
