I only watched pieces of the game but it looked like pretty poorly played basketball on both sides to me. Yes, Nebraska hit a bunch of shots but IU didn’t make it very difficult for them.
Are you serious? IU was awful. They had spurts of playing “ok” defense but with the talent they have, that defense was awful. Cmon man. I thought you said you knew ball.
Been trying to tell IU fans Ballo is lazy and was just chasing $$$ and there was reason he was still in college. He’s not that good. Maybe he will figure it out but doubtful.
Yes I am being serious. They played good enough defense to have won a normal game. Just not a game where the other teams shoots 61% from the floor. Including 57% from 3. Only thing Nebraska couldn't do was hit FTs. Any normal game for Nebraska and Indiana and Indiana wins. It just happened to take Nebraskas literal best game of the season and Indianas worst shooting game of the season.
IU may improve but they are not good right now. I actually assumed Mgbako was out injured because in the stretches I watched I didn’t hear his name at all.
Nebraska was able to be efficient because IU can’t play defense. They don’t play team defense/get to the spots they need to. They are bad on the switch for PnR, rice is lost half the time, Goode can’t guard a trash can, Ballo is slow and out of position. It’s ok to admit your team isn’t very good on defense, but for you to think it was all due to Nebraska being the most “efficient” all year is a bit laughable.

Nebraska hit a lot of tough shots. A lot of contested shots. Indiana's defense wasn't great, but a team shooting 61% from the floor isn't normal, no matter the defense. Indiana has a lot to be embarrassed about, but Nebraska drank some of MJs special juice before the game apparently. They shot from the field as well as they did from the FT line.
Nebraska has beat IU 4 times in a row. They’ve shot 46%, 49%, 50% and 61% this time. All have been double digit blow outs. In all 4 of those games they hit roughly the same amount of shots and attempted the same, except this last one—they took 10 less shots. But that’s because IU’s defense is horrible and there were more shots around the rim, which = higher % of making them. Also, Nebraska attempted less 3s this go around, which is a lower % shot than a 4 footer.
And all of those other percentages and you're looking at a way different result. A normal game from them and IU had a chance to win. Doesn't help Indiana couldn't throw it in the ocean because Nebraskas defense wasn't good either.
This is the most logically consistent version that you've put out this year. I don't understand Gonzaga dropping 13 slots after losing to UConn, but since you don't believe in KenPom maybe you think UConn is a bad team?
I don't disagree. It's also the inherent risk of buying your team in the market every year. They may figure it out and get better.
