Michigan is way overrated

Purdue has a much better chance to beat UM then boilermaker fans care to admit. Michigan's offense is young and near the bottom of college football statistically after facing the EASY part of their schedule . Maryland, Minnesota, Mich State, Wisconsin, Penn State, Indiana, and of course Ohio State are all possible losses for UM. Other than Rutgers I don't feel confident about any game UM plays.

I wouldn't be surprised if UM ended up 6 - 6 or 7 - 5. I give UM at least 3 BIG victories because of their defense but unless our offense improves drastically from it's putrid play the previous two weeks against inferior opponents Purdue fans will be celebrating a decisive victory.

I agree with some fans here, if Purdue is able to get an early lead, UM simply doesn't have the offense to score enough points.

that is still a big "if" for us, our offense is stepping up in class this week against a big time defense, we will have to play a clean, mistake free game

I agree that Michigan is overrated. However, one could say the same about us and the attention we have been getting recently.

If your going to pretend to be a UM fan at least get your facts right. The Defense is the young side. Time will tell if this was the easy part of the schedule.

You have to give the guy some credit, though. If you're going to make up a user name to pose as a Michigan fan, I think "Johnnyumfan" is pretty solid. I might have gone with "NotFakeBlue" or "ILoveAnneArberI'mSeriousYouGuys," but "Johnnyumfan" is a good effort.

O.M.G. Is this a Johnny Boiler sighting?!?!?!

For real though, I do think Mich is benefiting from pedigree with their ranking right now. It would be nice to get a top 10 win. I think ultimately they finish 9-3 and win their bowl game. While they are not elite this year, they would finish top 3 in probably every conference this year besides the B1G. I think o$u, psu, and wisco will beat them this year.

You are correct...If Purdue can't beat UM then Brohm needs fired. The Big Ten is way down this year except Penn State which the only team getting a major bowl invite. Harbaugh has nothing to prove this year because if you true football fans have been paying any attention Harbaugh is heading to the Colts next year.

a few thoughts: as a Michigan fan, I suggest to you there is no "easy" part of our schedule but if I had to pick the easiest individual games on the schedule, I'd say Rutgers, Cincinnati and Purdue - in that order. That "putrid" offense you speak of was good enough to beat reigning SEC East champ Florida and a solid Air Force team that are both better than the Boilers. Again, not flaming just stating the obvious. While you may be correct that Michigan may face a few losses this season (after all, we are the YOUNGEST team in D1) anything more than 3 is highly unlikely. Purdue on the other hand is much more likely to experience the 5-7 losses once B1G play is completed.

I like the enthusiasm displayed here as its good to see the Boilers back on the map. But you guys seem to be taking a lot of confidence from a loss to a pretty shaky Louisville team. Michigan's OL, it's RB, its TE and WRs are across the board better than UofL's and there is no comparison between our defense and theirs. This game may be close for a half but I fully expect to see a score like Michigan 34, Purdue 16 when all is said and done. And if I'm wrong I will gladly come back here to congratulate you.

Go Blue
