FanDuel has caught up to Purdue player totals. They got TKR and Smith tonight at 15.5, Loyer at 14.5. Going to steer clear, maybe put a small amount on over Fletcher’s total, as for the game this will be a tough one to win, just going to watch and hopefully see Purdue play well, if they do they can win this.

Has anyone watched them much yet? I haven't other than the final minute against Maryland the other day. Kam Jones is obviously a beast, but what else is still there from last year?

Missing Ighordaro and the PG (Kovak or something?) But their starting 5 of Kam Jones, Stevie Mitchell, Chase Ross, David Joplin, and Ben Gold were all major contributors last year.

They have 4 bench guys; 2 sophomore guards who didn't play/contribute much last year and aren't doing much this year, and 2 freshmen forwards (not sure how they play) but one is 6'9" 250 so I assume is more of a post guy than wing but the other one, Parham, was 2-3 from 3 against Maryland.

They haven't shot well from 3 so far this season, barely over 30% for the year, 253rd in the country. Purdue is 6th in 3pt % at 46% as a team.

well, if this was four years ago, we all know would happen tonight ... This year, I have far more confidence.

Kolek.

Yeah, Mitchell is pretty good from what I remember last year. I don't know, I'm feeling pretty good about this one.

If we handle the pressure and don’t turn it over a lot I think our chances for a W are good. They’re not strong underneath so rebounding should be more competitive for us and TKR just might eat! Want to see our D by committee on Jones and see if we can slow him down and make his life difficult like they did Sears.

I originally thought TKR to get 15 is easy bet against Gold.

However, when you factor in Marquette pressing, high hedging ball screens, and trapping the post it might be a game where Heide, Colvin, Fletch, and Harris missing or making open shots determines how offense will go.

I am assuming Paint has had the guys doing rebounding drills since Friday 😂

Game scared me, glad I stayed away, Marquette is quick and D’s up, regardless what happens in the second half this is one that I’ll file away, play some unders on teams Marquette plays.

They covered.
Yea, I liked Marquette last night, didn’t want to bet against Purdue though so I didn’t play anything. Key to gambling is to not play if you don’t like anything, besides Marquette I didn’t like Purdue guys totals, FanDuel was low early, they have caught on to the fact that as of now Purdue has 3 scorers.

I just took them each to score 10+. Might continue to do that if their actual numbers are too high. Lost all the rest of the legs though.

Yea, yesterday I had Alabama with Sears to score 15 points, they got 100 and he didn’t score a point, that will be the craziest stat line of the season, how does he not get 1 point?

They focused on not letting hi score much and, like Kam did vs us, took what the defense gave him and gave it to his teammates to hit open shots (Nelson had 19 in the quarter). Also, he was able to rely on his backcourt mates as the Illini (for a second straight year) don’t play much defense. In the second half, Oates wanted to put Sears back in but he told him no because his teammates were doing really well and he didn’t want to mess up the flow.
