Oconnell? Ever heard of a guy named Jeff Christiansen you ****in idiot!? He hand delivered Oconnell to brohm when none of Brohm’s recruited QBs have done anything.
Fact. Jeff brohm was 19-25 after year 4.

Fact. Jeff Brohm went to 4/6 bowls while he was here.
I fully understand he’s not walking back through the door but blaming our old coach for the poorly coached team we see week in and week out isn’t the move. I’d argue this team is more talented on paper than last years (except at QB) but the staff can’t get them lined up, have them execute or call plays properly.
Sadly, we’ll still win a few more games because IU, Nebraska, Northwestern and Minnesota are all incredibly down and equally or more incompetent than this staff. We”ll win 4or 5 games and you’ll say we are back!
Maybe Purdue could sign Nathan Peterman since he's been re-released by the Bears.

I don't care how many games Purdue wins this year, I'll still expect better next year.
As will most. From what I’ve seen this staff won’t put us in a position to deliver.
They brought in like 15 portal guys.
I don’t doubt we can get more talented. Talent doesn’t matter when you can’t call or run a good defense or offense.
Purdue is a buyer in the portal? Go buy spy view. Opposing fans wished card well and had good things to say about Wilson and brown. No one else.
I do not understand Purdue fans! During the recruiting season you raved about how great all the recruits were that Purdue had brought in. And many were transfer portals that could step in immediately. The recruiting class had a great rating. But after a couple of bad looking losses, you claim Purdue didn’t have a full recruiting class! The coach brought in a lot of talent! Giving him 2-3 more years isn’t going to improve the level of recruits! The problem with recruiting class ratings is not how much time the coach spends, but rather did he recruit players to fill our actual needs? I wonder how many more DBs are going to be in our current class? It’s nice to recruit great players, but recruiting more than 4 at one position is overkill and leaves other positions weak and short on depth! Iowa was fortunate to find a backup qb and its defense won the game for them. Does purdue have a backup Qb? What would happen if card was lost for the season? Or Hartwig or James! Purdue has 80+ players but has never had any credible depth that could step up in the event of an injry

Purdue fans were "raving" about the recruits? I don't recall that, but I'm old so my memory could be bad. I know I didn't rave about the recruits nor did I expect the team to be very good this year.
agree, who was raving on the last class ( ranked 69th ) ? a coach coming in late and his first class is just damage control, so far like CRW's first real class.
He doesn't have butterfingers. So yes. I would. He could pass for crap though.
Card needs to learn how to throw the ball out of bounds and live to play the next down.
Hard to run a good defense or offense with one of the least talented teams in the B1G.
