ESPN's BPI places Texas as a 54.5% favorite

Prediction:
As most Purdue fans feel, which Texas player that has shot about 20% from behind the arc will inevitably go 4 for 4 in the first half to put Purdue behind the 8 ball? Texas is one of the worst offensively challenged teams Purdue will face the rest of the season and if Purdue simply plays their game on both ends of the floor, they will walk away with a good road victory. Hopefully Carsen is able to play within himself and get his teammates involved more like he did against Maryland at times all while Nojel is able to shut down Roach and hold him in check. If that happens, Purdue walks out of Texas with a nice feather in it's cap.

Prediction: Purdue 72 Texas 70. Purdue ahead most of the game by 5 to 10 and hangs on in the final 2 minutes for the 2 point victory. Carsen back home in his state of Texas has a great game going for 30.

Carsen goes off coming back to his home state in front of family and friends. The good guys win 74-69.

Another toss up game IMO. It is hard to predict what Texas team will show up. If Purdue can bring the defensive intensity it had against Maryland they have a great shot at a non-conference road win.

Last game Wheeler stepped up big. Would love for him to do it again, but if not would be nice to see someone like Haarms, Eastern, or Sasha have a breakout offensive game.

If all them have major contributions not just today but throughout the season this team will become very dangerous. Today will be a good start however. The defend like you said like they did against Maryland boy big 10 tittle is not far fetched.

Texas struggles to score, so hopefully this won’t be the game when a bunch of their guys get hot. They also turn teams over a lot so we need to protect the ball. Shaka will want to turn this into a track meet and try to get a lot of easy transition buckets so he’s not relying on half court offense.
Will be interesting to see how Painter counters. This is a game where Wheeler could get 6-8 points alone just running in transition if we get sped up.

Wheeler has had two good games in a row. If Texas doesn't consider him in their defensive scheme, shame on them.

I'm going to stick my neck out and predict Purdue by 10 or more. I don't think Texas can hang with us.

Just about time.....work to be done in the Lone Star State.

Boiler Up, my friends.
