Well Beef, according to some folk down south, anyone could put up solid to similar numbers that Braden due to having Edey…so that’s probably why they passed on Braden 😂

The Twitter convo said that Woodson had gotten the commitment from Hood Schifino. They also had Cupps pretty much locked up so they thought they had their guards. With JHS having a big year and leaving earlier certainly opened a hole.

Saw some IU chatter about Smith saying Archie was told to check him out during his sophomore year and did. Said he didn’t see him as a starter in the B1G. Woody was told to watch him and his staff had the same opinion.

After Smith committed to Purdue, some of the IU bloggers said they wished Woody would have offered.

Haha yes I know they had JHS and probably thought he’d stay 2 years. Cupps is not looking like a B1G starting guard at this point and may take another 2 years to get there. Even if Braden went to IU, not sure he would have developed into what he is now.

I thought IU had great facilities. That place looks like a barn.
