Live in Indiana?

Since you used the term "we", I'll address this to you....You have always had the same rights as anyone else. No other rights are necessary other than those.
For me personally, you are correct. But if I were gay, in Indiana, my employer could fire me simply for being gay. Sorry, but I and the majority of Hoosiers know that to be wrong.
As far as "religious freedom" we already have it. Period.

Sorry, but in Indiana you can not....CAN NOT...be fired for being gay. You can however be fired for many other reasons. With that fake news, you may have a career next to Chris Matthews. :D And may I remind you, that Indiana voters had choices for both the Pence election and the Holcomb election and both times chose the GOP so any argument about the majority of Hoosiers.......

Sorry Mr. Pence supporter. There is no state wide protection. You have to go to the feds for protection. Some Indiana cities have put ordinances in place so that people could not be fired or kicked out of their apartment.

Proud Pence supporter. Too bad you don't know the man's heart.

As for being fired for being gay, I know a lot of gay/lesbian people and they aren't getting fired for their sexual orientation.

Holcomb is much better on this issue than Pence. Sort of obvious isn't it? Under Pence we had a ridiculous religious freedom Bill passed and signed by Pence only to see the people of the state raise hell along with others around the country until the mighty Pence back peddled and called.for a change. Holcomb? Nothing

If you are as good a pal of Pence as you claim, you don't know any LGBT people. No decent company would ever do anything so stupid or cruel. They are too busy with their businesses. And that is why they rose up to at least get the stupid RF bill removed. But there have been cases and federal lawsuits filed. Whine all you want, but it's a fact.

Buddies with Bobby & Mike, insider acquaintances at IU, friend of the gays, if I've learned nothing else today it is that you sir are one well rounded individual!

No it is not. This is hyperpartisan shit.

Indiana is doing great. An actual hub of tech.

You aren't a republican. We get that, as well as the pastor.

You can't deny the numbers. As much as you and the pastor want to believe it is not, Indiana is doing great for its position in the national economy.

If you and the pastor keep jerking of one another, at this rate, you may break an arm.
Do you still hate your father?

How about the 31 corridor? I worked on that one. US 421 Worked on this one too, SR 641, Us 50.
Here is a link to some other INDOT stuff.

Having worked in engineering for 35 + years the road projects under Daniels and Pence were pretty good.
Sewer and Water not so much.
Last summer I had to drive from Noblesville to Minster, Ohio for my work. I had to take 3 detours for this relatively short trip through east-central Indiana due to bridges being out. I guess I would have to question on how good our roads were.

Indiana is a fire at will state. Anyone can be fired for anything.

Not if they are in a protected class and they are being fired for being in one of those classes.

The question is now about sexual orientation being a protected class or not.

In Indiana it is not a protected class. Some municipalities have passed ordinances protecting the LGBT community. But as of yet there is no state law protecting them.

As has been pointed out those protections are Federal not State.

They are, but that hasn't stopped some states from passing their own version at the state level since there isn't federal legislation.

He liked anti abortion legislation, or at least make it is as difficult as possible, and Indiana had it's religious freedom mess.

What do I think of Pence? I'm glad he's gone and I'm a strong conservation. I just hate government in social issues and he spent to much time there and not enough time following Danial footsteps of fiscal responsibility and moving the state forward.
overall, I like Pence but understand your stance. You sound like you might be more at home as a Libertarian which I have a lean in some things. Generally, they are less social and more fiscal...
