IF (big IF), Swannigan decides to come to Purdue, think about Davis' journey at Purdue. He could go from having to guard the 4 spot a couple of years ago to possibly being the smallest player for us on the court at times next year. I think it would be hard to keep Hammons, Swannigan, Edwards, and Davis out of the starting line up. If Stephens is out there as well, then Davis would be our shortest guy with a line up of 6'5", 6'6", 6'7", 6'9", and 7'0".

And I think that makes a need for a PG go away and we use what we have. Painter almost would have to considering how much talent there is to spread minutes around to.

And I am okay with that.

I don't think it goes away. If you can land an experienced and talented 5th year guy to blend with this squad, it could only help realize the ceiling of what this team could do. I do agree that spreading minutes becomes more challenging...but most teams don't have an open scholly and have similar challenges. I think it affects Taylor the most.

True. We'll see how this all pans out.

There must be a lot more to this CS story than we are hearing. I'd love to see him come to Purdue and think we are instantly a FF contender with him. We would be a load to guard. I almost think you have to move Davis to the point if that happens. For those that say no way it will happen, there was an article in the FW news sentinel a few days ago with RD talking about making the switch.

Hammons
Swanigan
Edwards
Stephens
Davis

Davis is smart enough to make the switch too IMO. Man I'm giddy at the potential of this team.

I think it would affect Smotherman. Edwards would slide to the 3 and then you have a log jam at the 2/3 with Davis (starter) and Edwards (starter) then Dakota, Basil, Stephens and Cline.

I would redshirt Smotherman. Kid has a lot of potential and will not get many minutes if Biggie comes. Let him get a year of redshirt and pt will open up for him. Man, tomorrow could be a huge day in Boiler history.
