didn't remember him ever playing for the spurs. so, a Purdue alumnus has won a title.Thomas Bryant: 0 pts in the playoffs
Cody Zeller: Averaging 1.7 points
Serious contributors...At least Big Dog averaged 5 pts a game for the Spurs championship team in 2005.
do recall Sichting's being on the Bird teams not sure if he was still there when they won it.
joe barry carroll helped build the Boston dynastyJerry Sichting played in all 82 of Boston's regular season games in '86, mainly as a reserve. Played in all six games of the NBA Finals that year, which the Celtics won 4-2 over the Rockets.
Have you ever had a day where you didnt' think about Purdue so much you had to go to their website?has Purdue ever had a player who won the NBA championship. was Cardinal a backup one year for a championship team.
Shot down AGAIN.didn't remember him ever playing for the spurs. so, a Purdue alumnus has won a title.
you seem to be a very bitter person. the IU board has something very similar to you called a lucy.Shot down AGAIN.
Nice try (not really) loosier.
yes, came back to Purdue some and played in the Co-rec after he got his ringPretty sure Frank Kendrick was on the roster when golden state won one way back.
Edit: Frank got waived midway through the year, but did get a ring.
Look up 1977 Portland roster.has Purdue ever had a player who won the NBA championship. was Cardinal a backup one year for a championship team.
Isiah Mcginnis Belamy would be the only ones from IU who actually played significant roles on a title team that I can think of. it's actually a testament to Keady and Painter to have the success they have had with less talent than most other programs.Look up 1977 Portland roster.
As others have mentioned: Sichting, Kendrick, Big Dog. Surprisingly few though.

McGinnis with the pacers, not sure if he was on the sixers when they won it if not, he played there in that eraWas McGinnis on a NBA champ? Thought just ABA. Not sure about Walt Bellamy either - think he played with Terry Dischinger for a few years, though. Arguably, Buckner was a solid reserve for Boston on its '84 team that outlasted the Lakers.
Interesting about Buck. Was he the only one on that '76 IU team to earn an NBA ring? Was McGinnis on a NBA champ? Thought just ABA. When McGinnis was with the 76ers, they were runners-up to Portland. His last year was more or less a cameo for the Pacers in early 80's. The Dick Allen of the NBA?McGinnis with the pacers, not sure if he was on the sixers when they won it if not, he played there in that era

Ah yes, but recall the time he he two 3-run jacks against Blylevin (sp?) both In the park in old Municipal Stadium.Philadelphia traded him to Denver for Bobby Jones in '78. Denver traded him to back the Pacers at the end of his career (his last two seasons) for a player named Alex English. English is still in the top-25 on the NBA career scoring list, IIRC.
Kudos on Dick Allen reference - remember some of his later days with the White Sox when Harry was announcing for them.
"Here's a guy.....Richie Allen.....got all the talent in the world, and he can't get out of his own way......I just can't figure it out....."
