We go from a wide open Bell for an easy TD to a tied game. Lost opportunities continue to hurt this team.
The hard part of coaching is getting your recruited talent to play fundamental enough that they play ahead of Thienemann, horvath and O’Connell. Anyone can throw those three out there because they’re safe.

If Horvath has beaten out Hewitt, Murphy, and Doerue, I'm a little scared at what we've recruited. I haven't seen anything today that shows Horvath is a B1G caliber running back.
Walk-ons are fun stories to follow. We shouldn’t, in year 4 with this staff, be starting so many.
It’s because the recruiting process skips over guys with horvaths measurables who also play fluid mistake free football like horvath.
So, in essence coaches say “you know these guys all have better talent but they might make mistakes or not play fluidly” “so just throw the guy out there who makes it easy on us”
I thought the whole point of a 3-4 was to to have a NT and then two defensive tackle sized players at DE. I love Karlaftis but he’s a 4-3 DE
Iowa's found a hole in that intermediate area.....really hurting the Boilers with that in the second quarter.
This defense is a shit show right now. Absolutely ZERO pressure from the line...
I feel the same way about QB. If the guy starting has beat out out other guys we are in trouble.
Well, we are about to be playing from behind. Can we bring in a relief QB for our starter?
Dang it....over pursuit, and the Boilers got caught.....need a bend but don't break stop here as TMHR is starting to assert control.
It's a pathetic display of effort that I've seen from Neal when he was in the game. No motor. Just letting the center stand him up with one hand. If this is how he's gonna play, good riddance.
Sadly, defense looks a lot like last year...10 yard cushions to receivers...little to no QB pressure and getting gashed on the run. C'mon diaco, dial up something creative
