Indiana High School Football Coaches

How hard is it to figure out that you need strong relationships with the high school football coaches in the state? I can see Hope struggling with this, but I am surprised that Hazell apparently had the same issue.

An article some 25-35 years ago explained this elemental part of recruiting per the Ohio St. way. Woody Hayes built the juggernaut with almost all of the HS coaches in Ohio in his back pocket.

Jack Mollenkoph had been the HC at one of Ohio's biggest H.S. football powerhouses in Toledo, before he came to Purdue, and he used his H.S. connections to effectively recruit Ohio throughout his tenure at Purdue. And btw, The Ripper couldn't stand Woody Hayes!

Any business that has a catastrophic failure will conduct a postmortem to figure out WTH went wrong. In this case, what went wrong was Morgue and The Haze.
