Immigration in Ohio

Some are, some aren’t.

If you are saying that’s your line for US troop involvement, I agree. But the point was whether Putin should be able to reclaim them as part of Russia.
We are obligated by treaty to defend the NATO members.

For the others, Europe, with a GDP about 17X Russia - and superior military equipment they can buy from the US - should defend if they think it is worth it. Ukraine is in that category.

But the point was whether Putin should be able to reclaim them as part of Russia.
Reclaiming former USSR nations as part of Russia isn't the issue. The point is that Putin had long warned former USSR nations that joining NATO would be considered an act of war.

Hahaha is that The Onion? The guy in his backyard narrating that video does not sound African to me.
Because the guy that took the video wasn't African he was a black American. He saw what was happening from the street and filmed it. This was looked into by a journalist and proven that the video is real. It's over a year old. African immigrants cooking cats on the grill.

Putin said that a sovereign nation joining NATO is an act of war? Color me not surprised and not giving a rat’s behind that a monstrous dictator feels that way.

A monstrous dictator with nuclear weapons. Here you are again letting personalities trump policies in your naive lib mind.

What intelligent reason could there be for Biden to say we support Ukraine joining NATO?

Yes, I agree with you. Ukraine certainly had the 'right' to join NATO. But when a Hitler or a Putin tells you not to step across a red line, you should expect the consequences when you do step across the red line.

Ukraine did not join NATO; they did not cross a red line.

Putin just plain old invaded a sovereign nation with lots of resources.

He specializes in childish memes so he can have a few posts he can be proud of, as pathetic as it is.
Hey.. the guy self-owned in a major way.

Allow me to appease you without a meme: THAT POST ABOUT AFRICANS EATING CATS WAS A RACIST SELF-OWN THAT EXPOSED NAÏVETÉ AND STUPIDITY.

Hope that is better for your sensitive lil hearts.

Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union. Until 1991, and since then it has most certainly not been part of Russia.

With that logic, are you also fine with Putin reclaiming Estonia, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Georgia, etc? After all they were "part of Russia."
I don’t know. If it means destroying the country’s and mass killing of people then probably so. How bad could it be if that is the end result?

Well -stated. But I disagree and that has suppositions.
In my opinion, I see how the Democrats are destroying our country. It doesn’t mean I want to go to war and kill them. I have to put up with it as the consequences don’t justify the means.

Nice pretext for invasion.

Ukraine had NOT yet joined NATO. And why can’t Ukraine, a sovereign nation, choose to join NATO?

Holy crap, with some of what I’m reading here we’d still be a British colony and Israel would give its land back to pre-1940’s status.

Being a sovereign, free nation that is surrounded by adversaries is really painful and hard? Yes.

I'm not sensitive about it. Just explaining you to others who might expect a higher level of discourse from you, which is not going to happen. Childish memes are the best you can do.

Predictably, you miss the point. Trump is saying, 'here, wealthy Europe, it is on your continent, pay for your own defense instead of ripping off American taxpayers."
The point could be stamped on your forehead, you could stand in a mirror and stare at it all day, and you’d still miss it.

But hey it’s cool, different continent so who cares right? Just let Russia do Russia things. Totally fine.

Good god you’re a moron.

You've posted that three times now.......and apparently you still haven't read the entire article.

Putin is old school KGB and USSR. He wants to reclaim the glory of mother Russia. He has tried to violently get the band back together since he took over.

The other reason Putin wants Ukraine back..........he's not crazy about a prosperous democracy with ties to the west on his border whether they are in NATO or not. Lots of family and social ties between the two countries. People in Russia might get exposed to freedom and free speech and economic opportunity. He's worried about change from the inside, something the war is making more possible. He wants his people scared and obedient and a thriving Ukraine is a threat to him. It's a not a bad life according to Skydog but definitely not for everybody.

Since when does our foreign policy come from Moscow? Reagan is rolling over in his grave.

I already answered that. Ukraine certainly had the 'right' to join NATO. But when a Hitler or a Putin tells you not to step across a red line, you should expect the consequences when you do step across the red line.

So far the consequences have been some destruction in Ukraine, some but less destruction in Russia, and the constant humiliation of Putin’s military because they clearly cannot accomplish what they set out to do. And by the way, Putin thought he had Kyiv, but today Kyiv is Ukrainian, free, and a world class city led by Zelensky.

‘F’ Putin, that historically murderous, anti-democracy thug.

I cannot believe that there are Americans that don’t flat out celebrate Ukraine. BLAMING Ukraine or the US? That is ridiculous and disgusting. Ukraine has not taking subjection as a given, and they fight for the right to remain free, even when faced with potentially dire consequences. It’s f’ing awesome and inspirational. For people with a spine and a yearning to be free there is no other choice, and I’m damn glad the US Government is contributing to their cause.

Any American that admires, flatters, or compliments Putin is a pathetic loser who is an idiot and should be ashamed.

Any Russian who criticizes Putin risks imprisonment and death by their own government.

The invasion has been a disaster. NATO has expanded because of it. He's got conscripts and criminals getting slaughtered in the field. He's bringing out Cold War era tanks because he can't afford to lose anymore T-90s. He's having to buy missiles and components from China and NK. Their tactics are straight out of WW2 and his commanders have their jobs because they are Putin loyalists first and capable leaders second...........and don't know a flank from a fork.

Again, since when does Moscow dictate our foreign policy? Who are we to tell Ukraine they shouldn't fight for their freedom against a tyrannical murderer?

BLAME is your poor choice of words, not mine. Here is what has transpired.

For two decades, Putin warned that any Warsaw Pact nation joining NATO would be considered an act of war. On Nov. 10, 2020, the U.S. and Ukraine signed a Charter on Strategic Partnership which asserted America’s support for Kyiv’s right to pursue membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Putin then launched the invasion of Ukraine, just as he said he would.

Now, you can argue about 'blame' all you want but the fact is that there would be no war in Ukraine right now if the U.S. and Ukraine had not signed that Charter on Strategic Partnership for NATO membership on Nov. 10, 2020.

You make a case for the wealthy Euro countries to defend Ukraine, a non-Nato country, if they think it is in their best interests.

Or are you worried in your lib-dem delusional state that Russia plans to take Europe first, then move on to America?

To your credit, at least you list some reasons. 95 has been reduced to sputtering about Hitler.
Again, since when does Moscow dictate our foreign policy? Who are we to tell Ukraine they shouldn't fight for their freedom against a tyrannical murderer?
We shouldn't be telling Ukraine anything other than we do not support their entry into NATO and that we do support the efforts to repel an invasion and will provide all the weapons their wealthy Euro neighbors are willing to buy them, if they think Ukraine is worth defending.

You make no sense. Your comment is childish nonsense.
You’re sitting here referencing Hitler as some kind of tough guy to be respected. I mean I get you’re not very bright, but I didn’t initially peg you as someone who would also be shoveling the bodies into the pits as well.

Predictably, you are confusing 'respect' with understanding and acknowledging the military capabilities, including nuclear, of adversaries.

Hey, just for fun, let's all begin posting in Purdue95Gradspeak for the next 24 hours. I'll start off:

Riveting, you want to burn children at the stake just like the Inquisition and then have Skydog air drop their charred remains into the swamp like Agent Orange in Nam. You both love Benito Mussolini, Osama bin Laden and Jeff George. A pox upon your children and your children's children for a thousand generations.

You don't know there would be no war in Ukraine. Again, read your own damn link. Putin has to have Ukraine. If we said we wouldn't protect them, what makes you think he still wouldn't invade? We would have been giving him the green light to do so.

Putin and Hitler are guys who should be respected. Just ignore all of the people they have killed over the years.
