sidenote: of course the last time I looked forward to a home game against the Hawkeyes was following the huge upset of #2 Ohio State in '84. Leon Burtnett's squad promptly got run out of Ross-Ade seemingly from the moment of the opening kick-off, 40-3.

Tell you what, that was the most excited I've been at the end of Purdue game in a long time. Felt good. I'm going to enjoy this one tonight and worry about our next coach another day.

I'll give you props, TC. You called the win when most of us had given up on Haze. Wasn't pretty, but it was a B1G win. Next week would seem to present an ideal opportunity for Purdue to get a conference winnining streak going.

Just to clarify, I didn't predict a win against Maryland and I didn't predict a win against Illinois. What I did do is hope for the best in both games and not let the Maryland result cause me to write off the Illinois game.

Here's a spoiler. I'm going to hope for best against Iowa too. If they play well, they may give themselves a chance to win in front of a homecoming crowd. Not saying it will happen but it could and that's what I'm hoping for.

Blough is a decent QB. Problem is, I can't remember the last time we were really good with just a "decent" QB. But let's see how he finishes the year.
