I think Edey can play in the NBA

Ha! Beat me to it! His teammates finally found out what happens when you get him the ball. Myles Turner couldn’t stop him and Wiseman (a former #2 overall), can’t stop him.

Zach continues to prove he is unstoppable. He has shown through the preseason he is better than the preseason backups. Bring on the regular rotation and starters! Let’s see what ZBo’s got!

P.S. Ja Morant’s smile at the 1 min mark says it all!!! 😂 😂

At this point, it appears that some of the draft analysts are going to have to acknowledge completely missing on this one.

Watching the Pacers’ complete lack of an answer for Edey reminded me of watching the Cowboys try to defend Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens’ power running games a few weeks ago. The Cowboys’ defense was so undersized and geared towards containing the pass that they had no answers to the Ravens’ old school approach. (Then the Lions also did the same thing to them this past Sunday).

Where’s that one yahoo “analyst” who said it was one of the worst picks she’s ever seen???

I think there will be some games where he can’t keep up with the opposing 5 and that team will exploit it. I also think there is going to be a lot of games where he just dominates because the opposing team can’t stop him.

Regardless, really cool to see him excel when so many doubted.

PS the latest goal post moving is “it’s just preseason games”

Myles has never been a true traditional center. he's gotten bigger and stronger and that's helped, but big physical centers have been destroying him for years. Pistons (past) Andre Drummond wouldn't play for 4 games than play major minutes against the pacers and have 20+ rebounds. Lots of 30pt games against him by any strong post player. Year after year.

To add, this is his rookie season. He will encounter certain challenges for the first time, of which he would / will learn from. One certain challenge is overcoming the rookie foul whistle. And as mentioned, playing twice as many games with the corresponding increased travel will be a toll he has yet to face. Lastly, avoiding and/or being able to play through the sure to come, nagging injuries from the very physical NBA game, will need to be managed. It will be his rookie year, a learning and getting up to speed, season of which should be kept in mind with our expectations of him for this year.

Memphis' 5'8" guard, Kawamura reminds me of Braden Smith the way he was feeding Edey in the post and some of his crafty passes. Gotta feeling that he will end up in the G-League. Either way, Kawamura's play may give a benchmark on Braden's NBA aspirations.

Probably, but there's talk on the Grizzley boards about needing to find a spot for him. Like TJ and Braden, lots of intangibles there.
How is Knecht doing? Anyone seen him play? Curious how he turns out.

I haven't really been paying attention, I thought the only new player on the Lakers was Bronny?

Knecht game 1 had 16 in 25 minutes. Was a -13.
Game 2: 7 points in 21 minutes. -19
Game 3: 13 points in 34 minutes (team high). -1
Game 4 last night: 19 in 21 minutes. -3

He has to be doing better than Bronny.....feel bad for that kid.

Feel bad for Knecht too - would have more chances to shine/excel if he wasn't with Lebron.
