Here's the problem. The bill can be interpreted in both ways. Yes, it doesn't say they are going to allow 5000 a day, but it also doesn't say they will turn back 5000 a day. SO, it's possible that 5000 a day do get in. Also, the work visa thing will just draw more people to our border.
Exactly. There should be ZERO illegal crossings. Saying there can be up to 5000 encounters before just kicking everyone out makes no sense other than if they intend to allow most of those in. Just keep them all out and make them come legally.

That type of question is inappropriate. There are many problems caused by illegals that have nothing to do with taking jobs away from Americans. Sanctuary cities are using tax dollarts to house them (often in hotels), educate their kids, provide them with medical care (who do you think pays when an illegal woman shows up at the ER giving birth?), theft, human trafficking, drug trafficking, etc.

I guess you missed my reply in which I took the jobs that the Swamp (the Bushes, Obamas, Clintons, McCains, Kerrys, Bidens, Cheneys, Pelosi, and Romneys) said Americans would never take. And I am so thankful that I did. I built a work ethic that made me successful. The Swamp sold these ideas to victims, who now had a reason to collect government handouts. In 2016, I remember hearing that many young people in the city had no jobs. I am unsure what happened, but I haven't heard those stories under Trump. I do remember reading statistics where food stamps dropped considerably under Trump. I love having friends born in foreign countries who now live and work hard in America because they love America. I also want young people to have jobs and opportunities. And I am sorry, there are people in other countries who are equivalent to being slaves due to socialism, communication, or a dictator. However, I still want America to be more aggressive in saving Americans who live in Republican states get the assistance they need in the case of a disaster. How many billions were sent to foreign countries? And forgive me, but refresh my memory of what happened in Maui, a Democrat state. Did Biden ever go there?
