When talk concerns "Natural Order" then by definition we are talking about the longevity of consistency. There is no pop up of flash here and there. It is about consistency over a long period of time. If talk of "Natural Order" is aligned around basektball and the Big...Natural Order finds Purdue at the top. 1) Purdue will be ahead of all Big Team once they beat OSU like there were for so many years having a better head to head record against all the Big Teams. 2) Purdue has more Big Championships over the season for another metric over time than any of the other Big Teams.
Being at the top of Natural Order can't logically deviate from Purdue being at the top. Change it to flash in the pan...wo plays best for a week or who plays best against competion hand selected outside the Big and you could have a different ordering, but it wouldn't be included under Natural Order...
