Homestead(FLoyer) vs Westfield(BSmith)...

Smith grew up an Indinia fan...but, they did not have/show the same interest as Painter/Purdue.

He is indeed at least 6', and, he can play...led Westfield to their first ever Sectional championship, and, dominated the Sectional...he was outstanding in all 3 games.
His dad posted a picture of him as a kid in a full Purdue jumpsuit so I wouldn't be so sure about growing up an iu fan

Admittedly, I don't know the story there...I know his Dad had said at one time that "every kid growing up playing basketball in Indiana dreams of playing at Indinia" and I thought there was an article at the time that he committed last year that mentioned that while he was a huge Indinia fan, he was able to get past it in committing to Purdue...but, I could be totally wrong. Pretty irrelevant...as, he is clearly a Purdue fan and Purdue guy now, and, I am happy that he is.

That was an interview with Inside the Hall, of course his dad's going to say that. You don't want to alienate a potential fanbase before even committing. https://www.insidethehall.com/2020/...-culture-of-westfield-high-school-basketball/

I feel like if they were actually IU fans growing up then they wouldn't have pictures of their kids in full Purdue jumpsuits but that's just me.

Would agree generally on the latter, but, know way too many people that have in-laws that they put kids in something that they would not otherwise...

Like say, I thought there was an article about it, but, could indeed be completely wrong...and, per what I said, irrelevant in that he is absolutely a Purdue guy now.
