jittersIs it me or do neither McNeese or Clemson seem all that good?

You know what they say about assumptions! Nah we are gonna play better on Saturday and Clemson looks terrible.will get blown out if we play like this against i assume clemson.
Okay so you were just going off the score. I thought you were watching it as wellturned it on after our game
not tech savy enough to do that but ever since I watched them early in the season I said this is a different type of Wisky team and they are fun to watch, they jack up 3's , drive when they have to and make FT's. Some on this board said don't worry they'll fade at the end of the season, NotOkay so you were just going off the score. I thought you were watching it as well
At the current rate, we won't be playing Clemson.ehhh you watching the 5/12 game? It's horrible.
High Point wasn't high skill and no post ups so Bergs negs were minimized and his positives amplified and to his credit he played smart the whole timeAny theories why Berg was so effective in this match up? Hope we see more.
stated my theory earlier, said he is playing vs favorable competitionAny theories why Berg was so effective in this match up? Hope we see more.
On one level, I agree. Smith and TKR are clearly the top 2 players on the team. On the the other hand, he averages 14 ppg and shoots 46% from 3. He’s a big part of Purdue’s success. There is not, and never has been a “big 3”. Smith and Kaufman are just on a completely different level then loyer.
tell them to recruit some athletes, Brownell reminds me a little like RMKSomeone tell Clemson to get off the team bus, games already started.
OK , the Big 2.5On one level, I agree. Smith and TKR are clearly the top 2 players on the team. On the the other hand, he averages 14 ppg and shoots 46% from 3. He’s a big part of Purdue’s success.
He wasn't today. He needs to figure out how to get open and then shoot the ballOn one level, I agree. Smith and TKR are clearly the top 2 players on the team. On the the other hand, he averages 14 ppg and shoots 46% from 3. He’s a big part of Purdue’s success.
Clemson isnt out yet, but certainly headed that way. This Clemson team took down Duke FWIWWelp, Purdue McNeese it is
You better not discount MC State.will get blown out if we play like this against i assume clemson.
Braden never put the ball in his hands. He was not out there for any offensive part at all therefore, he was not gonna make any turnovers . So Berg has some size and the other team really doesn’t know because I don’t have a tape on him. What is the deficiency? Are they assume somebody 72 is gonna protect the rim that that makes him a little more cautious going inside what he’s there he has a big body so they’re not gonna push him around And the refs were not blowing the whistle the first half so he got through just fine. I think part of it was just the way he was used sparingly and he knew what his job was and he was not looking for any points and the Purdue team did not put him in a position to have turnovers so all that helps.Any theories why Berg was so effective in this match up? Hope we see more.
bracket is open for us
That was the best part of his game today, he wasn’t plowing into guys setting screens, he did a good job this afternoon, kudos to Will! He’s not moving on his screens or going over the back on rebounds. Also getting good position inside and walling up on D. Solid half from the Ice Berg
Out the door to where? What in the world are you talking about?Smith has one foot out the door and this tournament may lead him all the way out
His draft stock would increase dramatically with scorers around him. He just isn’t that #2 or #3 option on offense.
He can’t get his own shots or get to the free throw line
He’s an imbecile every game. I think he has a few accounts he uses. You do realize there’s another team out there besides Purdue and Purdue still ahead
Absolutely, win Saturday and let’s extend the season another week.It ain't been pretty, but take any NCAA Tournament win you can get and run like the Dickens......especially for Purdue with a double-digit seed opponent.
Not sure how many people were saying Elite 8 either, sweet 16 I’ll give him, even that in my opinion was a stretch.Speaks of a weak ass fan like u
Clemson looking like they are playing in the 50 and over leagueClemson isnt out yet, but certainly headed that way. This Clemson team took down Duke FWIW
He does. I have Chicagokrazy or whatever it is on ignore and it ignores this account as well for that reason. He’s an imbecile every game. I think he has a few accounts he uses.
One guy on the ball wherever it is the rest packed the lane heavy good individual D not too worried about their outside shooting. It seems like most of them want to put the ball on the court as soon as I get it, they are capable of hitting the outside shot, but I think that starts with a lot of rotations and such good athletes hit the boards hard you have to put bodies on them. You just have to put bodies on especially shumate on the boards. I would like to see Purdue use over aggressiveness against them and see some back screens and clear out since but I’m not sure I’m gonna see that.if you are watching MC State they are extremely quick and athleticism is off the charts. They take it to the rim.....Not really a strong point of Boiler D.
yeah life is a little different at the pointy end of kenpom.High Point coach gave zero credit to Purdue's defense, LOL.
Decided, it was mostly on them for not being in offensive flow...so ridiculous.
It's basically the High Point game plan except McNeese is who folks told us High Point would be.Mcneese is 4/19 from 3. Pack it in and dare them to shoot. Can't afford to let them drive us to death and score 2's. Ok, not a zone, I get it, but whatever CMP has in the bag that acts like a zone I don't care what you call it is what we need Saturday.

I can't tell because I can't tell if Clemson just played poorly or McNeese made them play poorly. Obviously it's some of both but unsure of the proportions.McNeese is better defensively than High Point but not as efficient offensively. They will be attacking the paint, no doubt.....certainly going to give the Boilers some issues. Would guess they will play fairly loose - first NCAA win under their belts.....they did get a little tight down the stretch. Regardless, that's a really good win to take out Clemson.
He’s a nice role player, just lacks the physical talent to be anything more.On one level, I agree. Smith and TKR are clearly the top 2 players on the team. On the the other hand, he averages 14 ppg and shoots 46% from 3. He’s a big part of Purdue’s success.
Agreed, but I would argue McNeese is more athletic than HP. We will be tested more on the defensive end with drives.Did a good job today on keeping them out of the lane.
McNeese has had a few unicorn games this year where they scored 90+ and hit over 50% of their threes. Let's hope tomorrow isn't one of those days...McNeese is better defensively than High Point but not as efficient offensively.
