He'll be overshadowed, but check out Vince's stat line...

He just picked up his 4th foul. I thought that was a good move.
I didn't notice that at the time. There were four minutes left. Trust Vince let him play it out. Don't wait for something bad to happen to sub him back in. Not like Vince was getting posted up all the time he could of handled the pressure of four fouls.

I hear what your saying, but it was just before the under 4 time out and I think it gave him chance to get a blow and concentrate on not making a stupid foul. ISU would have probably gone after him if he'd stayed in.

9-14, 21 points, 10 rebounds (3 offensive), 4 assists, 0 turnovers.

Helluva game! Actually was the leading scorer too.
And love the way Vince is taking "initiative" - he is really stepping up and as has been said by many - "if VE plays at high level, Boilers become elite". Matt got him out with his 4th foul and then was able to reinsert for the real crunch time

21, 10 and 4 with 0 turnovers.... I can't even contain how happy I am for him. If you don't love this team I want you gone as a fan and please don't ever come back.
Vince has taken it too an higher level, that we haven't seen out of him in a while. Vince, you have this great ability, please use it always, yes, you can touch greatness!!
Hammer Down to KC!!

Tournament time is when VE elevates his play to another level. Biggie is doing pretty well himself.

They can keep it going: Biggie, VE, CE, Isaac, P.J. (good job redeeming himself by making clutch shots: 3PT and FT's), Dakota, Ryan (didn't shoot well but had 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals), and Spike (I think he's earned the right to have a little more PT)!

It's time to beat Kansas or Michigan State on Thursday. In the postseason, if a program keeps knocking on the door, eventually they're going to break through it.

I was the first one to criticize him in the first part of the season when his play was bad and he didn't really look like himself but boy what a second half of the season he's having. Even more important what a NCAA Tournamente he is playing! Tonight he was phenomenal, incredibly efficient on offense, going after rebounds like crazy. I think he absolutely didn't receive enough credit from the broadcasters but who cares, Purdue fans for sure recognize how big he was yesterday night.

VE is clearly the most important player outside Biggie now. He may be ready for the next level now. I love this kid. If he didn't get ignored by the media, he'd be gone after the season.

This Purdue team will go as far as Vince can take them. Biggie is going to get his, it appears Vince knows he's got to make the most of his time in the spotlight.

It's his effort he's going up stronger for the boards, the putbacks he's just being a warrior .

Vince has started to follow the lead of Carsen in becoming fearless. I honestly have no clue how he can be so great on the offensive boards it is really incredible to watch. I have always seen Vince as clutch during his time at Purdue now he is becoming dominant.. That's a scary combo

Hard for Vince to get media attention when Swanigan hardly gets any. A deep run would gain some national respect for Purdue and then he could get some real attention next season

PJT's three-pointer and sealing FT's were huge, obviously. But, VE's three-point play off a miss to keep the Boilers in front (at the time) may have been the biggest....it at least allowed Purdue to gather itself somewhat for the last few minutes. At that point Iowa State was on a 14-2 run. JMO

Swanigan is one of the most hyped players in recent years . He has been everywhere this year . I'm not sure where you got that

The fact that he hasn't won POTY already is what I'm talking about. If he was at Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, or UNC the media would of already crowned him. Read ESPN articles he is ranked 3rd in them. It is completely ridiculous

come on, now

Swanigan gets A LOT of attention

There was a segment about him on the CBS Evening News a couple of weeks ago, so the attention he's gotten has transcended shows about college basketball.
