Haas

But, Painter has clearly lost faith in him as evidenced by him not being in the games late and relying on Biggie at the 5. Which is fine, but that's a result of Haas committing too many turnovers and not converting on a number of point blank bunnies.
I'm fine with Haas being a 6th man, he's a helluva player to bring off the bench. But, I also believe he's talented enough and has the tools to have a more positive impact and he's simply not using those tools correctly.
His not being in games late probably has more to do with free throw shooting.

Really I never agree with Kessel but he's 100% dead on.

Shaken....not stirred.....Moneypenny....

Yup. I feel like he is trying to do much when he gets the basketball. Just do you hook shots and your drop steps and go up and dunk it and the rest will come...
I'm still shocked how he couldn't put that last basket in. LIke watching a 5 yr old miss the first bucket with a ping pong ball on Bozo buckets.

10 boards which were important though. Need him to contribute and looking forward to improved play from him.
Tell him the same thing you tell kids..."USE THE GLASS". And in his case add "if you can't dunk it"

I thought the same thing about using the glass. He went around someone to his left and tried to lay it over the front of the rim (and missed at point blank). Where using the glass probably helps.

Our Isaac Haas is weak?
Our Isaac Haas lacks confidence?
Our Isaac Haas has something up mentally?

Wow, would you look at all of these whiners and keyboard coaches.
My gosh.
SMH.
Still SMH.

I'm sure glad he didn't listen to his online coaching staff and instead played his game and was a key to Purdue knocking off Wisconsin in the biggest game to date.

Not only was Haas a big deal against Wisconsin, he has put up important numbers all season long.

Points: #2 on the team
Field goal %: #2
Free throw attempts: #2
Free throw made: #2
Rebounds: #2
Blocks: #1

It's a shame that such a top Purdue player catches so much grief from supposed fans.

Rather than being a whiner and unappreciative of his efforts, hopefully the rest of us cheer Haas on the remainder of the year. As well as the whole team.

I AGREE HAAS SHOULD BE PLAYING A MINIMUM OF 25 MINUTES A NIGHT.

Isaac is awesome. He has room to grow, of course, but he's already a really effective player. Proud to have him representing Purdue.

On a semi-unrelated note, my biggest frustration is the number of calls that go against him. Of all our players, he consistently gets the rawest deal from the refs. I think he gets punished for being big and strong. But hey, that's just my own perception.

I think several of us believe that Issac gets. Raw deal from the refs.

Agree for the most part. At least they haven't whistled him for his chicken wing move lately. Unless I missed it. Also glad to see him use the glass last game.
True. I think he's learned that if he keeps his elbow close to his hip he doesn't get called and he still can plant that massive arm in someone's kidney

Haas plays tentative and soft like Carroll. I am kind of envious that you can erase the memory of Travis Carroll's cringe worthy play. As I cannot.
LOL... just LOL

I know what you mean about memories of Carol through.

Direct quote from 10 minutes ago.

Calhoun: "Burtz canna ip standert ax benn frapplestan kunst an is because OSU dizzn't have a 7'2" 290 lb Haas."

I think it was positive.
