Brooks Barnhizer

Would love this honestly. Would be perfect fit on the wing and dangerous 4th or 5th option on offense. Defense, grit, can handle the ball. I think he would thrive where he isn't asked to do it all luke he did last year. Hope it happens....
Yeah for sure. I feel like the real chance is super low 😂 but he’d be a great fit. Paint has regretted not recruiting him (wasn’t room) back when he was in HS. He’s a dog that is tough as nails and if he’s willing to just do the dirty work and not care about scoring, he’d make a huge impact (all hypothetical since we have no clue if he actually has received a waiver for eligibility).

You have to remember Spike! He came over from Michigan after having a really good tournament when they made the Final Four. He didn't really contribute a whole lot but was a decent piece off the bench.
Wasn't he hampered by a bad back? Or knee?

I don’t see how Goode has a case at all. Medical redshirts are for season ending injuries. How do you give a medical redshirt to a guy who missed the beginning of the season but played at the end of the season? Then again, the NCAA will just get sued if they deny the waiver and end up allowing it anyway.
The same way a football player can play the last 4 games of the season and still redshirt. Which will probably be his case against the NCAA. Why have separate rules. Football players don't have to worry about when they play, just can't play more than 4.

Bet he stays at NWs
What would the reason be to stay at northwestern?

He can get paid more elsewhere, actually win a conference championship, tournament game(s), a chance at a NC.

I bet he has his NU degree (very nice). Not sure he wants to play on a team that would struggle to make the BTT for his last season in college (pending he gets that waiver which ppl are saying he has).

facebook post says he got his eligibility today. but i know you don't believe facebook posters

I think it will need to be something local.... Cookie not cookies... its a feeling .... 3 cookie action is too rich. Collins coached player in a Painter system.... hmmmmmm not bought in on that.
I look at the player and what he's shown on the floor. Dont' care about his system. A hard worker fits in any system. A fiery competitor that's known mostly losing and is arguably "tougher" than anyone we have now. Sign me up. Yeh give me a creator too, but this is a true boiler of a guy that defends, rebounds and plays tough. In some ways he's another Mason type guy. We don't have a surplus of that.

I agree with all of this. He'd be perfect on this team. But, a big but, he's got foot issues. He was shelved because he reinjured his foot. He's a physical guy and foot injuries can be tricky. Let someone else pay to see if he's healed up. As @northsays above, it doesn't look like he got his waiver anyway.

The whole Barnhizer to Purdue was just stupid IMO. Who the hell wants to go head-to-head against a 3-year starter let alone one who averages 20 points per and was first team all B1G. Stupid I tell you. I think he should put on his big boy pants and go pro he got his 4 years move on.

Always thought it was a long shot on the waiver as well as him coming to Purdue.

I didn’t see the synergy with the team unless he was willing to be a bench player.

I’ve read that the waiver wasn’t granted and that’s what the issue is but only Brooks knows.

Both of mine have been replaced….

Hip replacement video
I had one in 2020. I can remember the pounding hearing it like a sub sonar, but in no pain. Doc said when I came to that I didn't bleed much and my mind starting wondering if my heart was going bad. Shared with my daughter when she used to work and she said blood goes everywhere...said it has squirted over the curtain on to her papers and that gave me a perspective. Not in pain, but it slowed me down...
