Haas was unstoppable

Was that his best game this season? I would say it's between this game and the Villanova game.

Haas, who scored a season-high 26 points in a Nov. 22 victory over Utah State in Mexico. didnt see that one but last night we saw the haas i have been waiting for all season. actually looked like he knew what he was doing. played with confidence and authority. good thing because our shooting from 3 was dismal at best. and if we werent playing zone in the first half it was the strangest man defense i have ever seen

Bardo made a good point tonight - said when Haas is going against guys his size he gets more calls and gets to show his skills. Great game. For a guy his size he has shown great development.
...add guys being slower as well...

Great game by IH, but this was also a good match-up for him. Let's keep in mind strategies and results don't always translate from one opponent to another. I think Painter and the team did a good job of identifying what was working based on matchups and cold shooting.
-Gettys is basically a less athletic version of IH. Rutgers' big men did not stretch our defense much.
-69 possession game (slow pace) probably allowed IH to play more without fatigue. For reference Purdue averages 72.5 possessions per game.

9 of 11 from the field. No fouls, rebounds, altered shots...just great stuff.

Sitting in the best seats I ever have (3rd row), it was clear Haas was confident and aggressive against those guys. I don't remember any fade aways, just strong moves. The put back slam was real powerful.

Rutgers big guy looked more like a guy I see at the ymca than a big ten court but it was awesome to watch. Haas even took at least two rebounds right out of Swanigan's hands.

If Haas can bring that mindset in tougher matchups it will really boost the chances of a deep run.
