On a day when your best player shoots 4-17 and your (arguably) 2nd most important player is out with a broken elbow:

- Haarms getting boards and blocking shots
- VE making clutch plays throughout the game
- Cline with the rare drive and 3 pointer
- PJ Thompson looking like Ronnie Johnson with the floaters (except PJ hit his)
- Dakota draining that clutch 3 that was anything but an easy shot
- Eifert coming up with a nice almost 3 point play and boards

Great team win. Next week is going to be much more difficult, but definitely enjoying this win tonight. Really hoping Painter and company smash through the S16 ceiling Purdue has had since 2000.

If Boogie doesn’t have his worst game all season and shoots to his average, Purdue walks away with a 15 point win amd every analyst is gushing about how good Purdue is.

Boogie probably placed a ton of pressure on himself, as great players do, and struggled. He’ll be there on Friday to lead the charge and likely takes advantage of a team that hasn’t had the pleasure of checking him before.

..and it is a Texas team to motivate him!

It felt like Carsen was getting bumped, slapped, and grabbed a lot and got very few calls. It had him out of rhythm and frustrated which I think led to some forced shots that weren't his usual good looks.

he got NO breaks going to the basket as Butler was playing him tight and others getting in the lane for his drive. he was trying to pick up the scoring and maybe a passer after penetration would have helped? he will be ready FRiday...
