Went on my daughter's field trip to an apple orchard, yesterday. They had an apple variety named Gold Rush. They said it is a Purdue apple.
I talked to the owner, who is from a Purdue family, and mentioned they should do a Gold Rush hard cider. They reached out to the local brewery but the brewery wasn't interested in doing a hard cider.
Anyway, thought it was interesting that there is a Purdue apple.
