Game thread

Big gain on first. I'm Almost expecting Shoop to take a knee to start the 4th.

You have to start wondering about these Marshall guys going down as we move the ball. The last seemed to get up pretty quickly. The trainer didn't even stay there, turned around and started attending to others.

I must be the only one that likes what Shoop is doing.
Imo, Shoop is not calling that bad a game. The two interceptions were bad throws. The first was thrown into coverage and a QB should know better than to make that throw. The long pass INT was a poor throw away from the receiver who was open on the route. Those are not the fault of the OC.

Makoswki (freshman longsnapper) has been stellar at this point. Good to know that aspect is well taken care of for four years. As college football fans, Purdue should appreciate that after the Alamo Bowl a loooong time ago.

Another three and out- please stop running the ball up the middle of every first down play

'You play to win the game.' Need that pumped in to Shoop's headset in times like that. Definitely a series that it appears Purdue is playing to not lose instead of playing to win. Why not run a play action on the first play and push it deep with Yancy?

He's done more today than I saw in the first two seasons. Obviously that could be due to the personnel; the line on both side of the ball today looks the best of the Hazell era thus far.

Surely even Shoop isn't stupid enough to come out running the ball up the middle now - right?
