Faux News' Jesse Watters' Friend Got DOGE'd

That might be "proof" to a simple-minded dolt, but that the system worked to bring them back is a good indication that they do know what they are doing and that the system is sound.

Can you understand that?
Nope. If they knew what they were doing they would have taken the time to access and then base their decision on that. That clearly did not happen. They would have know through that assessment that firing the nuclear program workers was a bad idea from the get go.

Of course. And killing the morale of nuclear program workers?
And immeasurably hurting candidate recruitment for future high-quality workers?

Clown show train wreck.

It sounds like some of the people being fired know nothing about the jobs they are supposed to be doing.

Sesame Street in Iraq? Are you glad to know your tax money (if you pay any taxes) helps support that. How about a Trans Opera in Serbia? The list is endless.
Where did you get that from? Then why is Musk trying to bring them back?

Who here is arguing for Sesame Street in Iraq?

This is what we're arguing against. How many freakin times do we have to say it and how many times are you going to ignore it and deflect?

"The DOGE people are coming in with absolutely no knowledge of what these departments are responsible for".

Do Musk's kids have clearance to even to even see what these people do who they're firing ? Musk does massive business in China. How many of his boys have Chinese contacts? Do you know? Does trump know? Do we just take Elon's word for it that his staff can be trusted?

Oh, I've seen this crap before. It is fake news. During the Vietnam War dozens of senior officers "resigned" to protest the war. A follow-up investigation revealed that none of them resigned (no pension). They had all retired (with pension) to protest the war.

I heard it's because they didn't want to be supervised by a 19 year old who calls himself "Big Balls."

It's amazing how you come up ridiculous comparisons to justify your positions and defend whatever this admin does or says.

You're comparing what happened 50 years ago on the military during a war to what Musk is doing in the civilian government today.

And if all else fails, call it fake news.

A federal civil servant with 30+ years of service does not get into a huff, resign, and walk away from a pension that will support his/her family for the rest of their lives. You are extremely naïve to believe that there is even one person who is so foolish. Every one of these 21 employees either retired with pension of retired with a lump sum payout. None of them "resigned."

Bureaucrat comes home: “Hi Honey. I quit my job today. I got fed up with Musk and DOGE and resigned.”

Wife: “Resigned? How about your pension? How will we live?”

B: "Don’t worry Honey. I’ll get Social Security in seven years. Until then, we can get a reverse mortgage on the house and buy gold from Rosland Capital.”

W: “How about our medical care?”

B: “No problem! We get Medicare in seven years too!”

Making sh/t up again I see. Can you direct me to the point in the article where it says how much years experience these people had in government, let alone 30 years? Where is it?

In response to this and your next post, did you skim over this part?

"All had previously held senior roles at such tech companies as Google and Amazon and wrote in their resignation letter that they joined the government out of a sense of duty to public service."

Maybe having held senior positions at Google and Amazon means they were already taken care of financially and don't need to live off their pensions, not that your statements about pensions are necessarily factual.

Bottom line is you don't know squat about these people or their finances and are simply trying to explain away their actions by making comparisons to your so called experience. Oh, and fake news.

Exactly. If they had senior roles in those companies, then they were short-timers with the federal government going for another pension, aka "Double Dippers." They had nothing to lose. They weren’t eligible for a pension yet.

H*I*L*A*R*I*O*U*S*! This just in: "DOGE adviser Katie Millier said in an X post that the employees who resigned were "full remote workers who hung Trans flags from their workplaces."

But how will they be able to stomp out of the office in a show of Bob-level self-righteous indignation?

Sad for them that nobody will miss them since it appears nobody knew who they were or what they were supposed to be doing.

They Trump people admit it was a mistake and yet you are still mad instead of applauding their honesty.

Do you prefer a president who never admits mistakes? (For example, Biden never admitted any mistakes despite being the worst president since LBJ. )

Lol. Yeah, I do. Finding examples of what we think are silly expenditures doesn't mean these people don't understand the department THEY WERE HIRED FOR AND ARE WORKING FOR..........especially compared to Musk and his band of children who have zero expertise in and limited knowledge of the departments they are gutting.

The NNSA, Dept of Agriculture, FDA, HHS, National Park Service.........all have had employees rehired because Musk and company's slash and burn technique of evaluating the need for federal workers has been wrong.

Lol. I know a hell of a lot more about what USAID does than trump or Musk does. That's your best argument? Lol

Talk to me when they realize that it was a mistake and re-hire ALL of the thousands of federal workers back.

I have a friend who works in the government complex in Crown Point. He tells me many times that almost all in his department come in late daily and the phone rings they don’t even answer. They take a long lunch and leave early almost daily. He told me they could get rid of 40% of them and not miss a beat. Hopefully this doesn’t go on every where.

The richest guy in the world destroys USAID, which serves the poorest people in the world and keeps them freer from disease, reducing the spread of pandemics everywhere and buying American immeasurable diplomatic good will.

Except for that Musk’s companies have been exempt from these program cuts.

I'm sorry some people live in shithole countries, but that's not my problem.

As I suggested before, USAid should be privatized. That way, people like you who believe in their causes can support them financially with donations.
I don't care about most of their causes and don't want my tax money going towards things like trans awareness in Uganda.
You, Bob and BNI can give USAid all the money you wish.

I trust the most successful businessman in the world's decision-making over federal employees who think gender operas and trans awareness in 3rd world countries is a good use of US taxpayers money.

Yeah, it’s like the old saying the chickens have come home to roost. Last week Watters is all in on the DOGE ignorant federal personnel cuts. Now that his buddy may be getting cut he seems butt hurt about them now.

A lot of these federal workers voted for Chump. I wonder how they feel about him now. Chump sure didn’t talk about these widespread federal worker cuts doing the election. I wonder why.
The Federal government is way too big and extremely wasteful. Nobody that is actually needed is being cut. To call removing the bloat from something so wasteful and massive ignorant is a pot meet kettle moment.

It depend me on the department. These job cuts are so widespread and obviously not well thought of, particularly of the folks that maintain our nuclear arsenal. They cut a lot of them and then oops we need them back.

Now the Joint Chief of Staff is fired. The Chief of the Navy is now fired. Fired for what? Most likely to get yes people in like the Cosa Nostra I speak of all the time. This looks and is bad and needs to stop.

When Chump was president the last time, he increased the deficit more than any president in history. These cuts are not going to make a dent in the deficit, nor are these job cuts are going lower the inflation, that’s already going back up by the way. Or lower gas prices.
Stop with this moronic talking point. The only reason that happened was because of Covid. Also, OOPS! You're hero Obama had much larger deficits his first four years than Trump.

Federal workers like the private sector are fired all the time for not doing their job correctly. That aint nothing new. But this widespread cuts is unheard of.

Now republican congressmen are being faced to answer tough questions about this by their constituents that voted for them and may be affected by these cuts.
No they aren't. In fact, there are so many that do absolutely nothing. This is a post I saw that points directly to the need for these cuts. This post was in reference to the email that Elon put out requiring federal workers to send an email back justifying their job and what they do.

"My husband works for the government. He had no problem doing this. I will say that TWO of his coworkers got fired. My husband said they didn’t do any work at all!!! They just sat all day…. Literally!!! I’m not over exaggerating. They did no paper, scheduling, appointment settings, clerical work. AND AROUND 1pm THEY WOULD GO HOME TO “WORK FROM HOME”!! Yeah right!!!! They were pissed they had to reply to the email lol! Now they don’t because they got fired."

Sadly, this is far to common in the public sector and it's time to get rid of the freeloaders.

Actually, you are speaking out of ignorance. During my 28-year Army career I was assigned to four activities in which the workforce was majority civilian - Natick Soldier Center, Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Defense Commissary Agency and US Army Medical Cmd - Europe. In each case, the workforce was bloated and could easily be reduced by 50% without affecting the mission. The meat ax is the only means of reduction that is workable.

When I first arrived at DSCP, a warrant officer who worked for me advised me to "carry paper." I didn't know what he meant at the time, but later understood. When you're tired of sitting at your desk doing nothing and decide to get up and go somewhere to goof off, carry some paperwork with you to make it look like you're working.
Exactly. There are a lot of people that need to be axed. @BNIBoiler claiming that this isn't going to make a dent in the deficit is delusional. They will cut ~$1.01 BILLION/year in salaries from USAID alone. (if they really cut it down to 300 people)

The private sector usually puts careful thought into who should be laid off based on their whether they provide an essential role to the company and not just cut indiscriminately.
What proof do you have that it's totally indiscriminate cuts? Elon has a proven track record of doing exactly what he's doing now (efficiency) and being extremely good at it.

100% true.

However, many in government forgo pay and private sector style opportunity for relative security of public sector jobs.

Good luck hiring quality people for public sector jobs.
Good, we don't want the federal government to grow to be so horrendously big anytime soon.

This is what he's talking about. Musk and his teenage gang know nothing about the jobs of the people they're firing.

I guess it's just like the scientists and all the other experts you MAGA buffoons are so quick to dismiss. Intelligence, education and expertise are overrated. The GED crowd knows more.
Yeah mistakes are going to be made when you're dealing with something this massive. I can handle a few hundred people getting fired and then re-hired when you need to cut tens of thousands.

So paying for transgender shows and DEI training for other countries is good use of our tax dollars and good foreign aid?
