Nope. If they knew what they were doing they would have taken the time to access and then base their decision on that. That clearly did not happen. They would have know through that assessment that firing the nuclear program workers was a bad idea from the get go.That might be "proof" to a simple-minded dolt, but that the system worked to bring them back is a good indication that they do know what they are doing and that the system is sound.
Can you understand that?
