Oh, the Democrats have addressed this issue. Here's what's in the Build Back Better legislation:
Free universal preschool for all three and four year olds aka free babysitters.
Cash rewards of $300 every month per child under age six and $250 every month per child ages six to 17.
Four weeks of paid vacation whenever an unwed mother drops another one out of crotch.
More free babysitters under the euphemism of free "daycare".
Typical Dem response: Throw money at the problem and hope is goes away.
But as usual, they don't understand about how to prevent the problem in the first place.
If you're going to pay someone to do something in this situation, I'd be in favor of paying people to go on implantable, long term birth control from about the age of 15 to 25. Just like with welfare or other govt assistance, people would have to qualify.
Y'all like to criticize Obama. So what did President Chump do to cure this problem? I've said this over and over, it has to come from within the community. Outside intervention can only do so much. As much as I despise President Chump I'm not going to criticize him for not solving the single mother issue in the black community. All communities for that matter.

Yes it does. Education is not the solution to solving poverty, since marriage produces educated children, not schools. Schools are only effective in situations where there is responsibility and stability, and that comes from marriage.

Divorce is awful for families and children. Single parenthood is awful for all involved. Marriage provides financial security, emotional stability, and work life efficiency due to the division of labor. It allows more time to be devoted to child rearing and keeps kids out of daycare facilities and affords them better educational opportunities.
Marriage is better for society than the alternative and this has been consistently proven in studies. Look at the condition of the black community pre 1964 and post 1964. The black family is demonstrably worse off now than they were during the segregation era due to the effects of perverse incentives instituted by the welfare state.
All of these things, stability, security, parent child togetherness creates the environment that leads to education and positive outcomes.
Sticking your kid in a school for 8 hours will not automatically result in an educated child, other factors are far more important.

This is one post where I will agree with you. And quite frankly, I know it takes two to tango. But I put a lot of blame on black women who continue to allow themselves to be taken advantage of and abandoned by black men who don't take any moral or financial responsibility.
Make a mistake and have a child out of wedlock? OK, I can have empathy and even sympathy for that. It can happen to anyone. Have more than one child out of wedlock by different fathers? I have no empathy or sympathy. And that's the problem that's happening over and over again. And why the cycle of poverty continues.
Education is not even close to being the centerpiece of fixing poverty. Not having multiple children by multiple fathers is the first way to fix poverty. The black community continuing to have a fatherless rate of over 2/3 of all children is the biggest issue holding it back. It's single mothers trying to raise those children without any support that causes poverty...

The most important way of curbing fatherlessness through eliminating alot of Govt programs and crafting tax legislation.....many of which incentivize fatherlessness, and are anti 2 parent families.

HEY BNI....one question. What do you think of the idea of mandatory sterilization of any...ANY...female who has three out of wedlock children? White? Black? Hispanic? Asian? With a 4th cancelling all her government subsidies.
How about voluntary sterilization after 1 out of wedlock birth.
With the caviot ALL state and fed Gov't benefits cut off if they have a second.....as strong motivation.
I'd vote for it. Or better yet, the father has to pay all support on the kid or go to jail for 10 years.

No, out of wedlock births are far better than no births at all.

True RS are for less govt....for example I am against:
1. Govt bail outs
2. Farmer subsidies
3. All government expenses, save the SS and Medicare $ they stole from me.

Man, I grew up and went to school with kids from single mothers, I know more about the situation more than you do. know that you have not even dealt with any of these folks let alone engage or grew up with people in these situations.
Just because the democratic party support public aid for poor people, the single mothers are not taken advantage of. For the most part these young women don't even vote or even participate in the election process at any level.
The women are not conditioned. A lot of these women have low self esteem. Their mothers are single mothers themselves in a lot of cases and some may have a drug problem on top of all this.
