Well, two ways you can look at it. He may see that game and say “No, I want to go somewhere with a more stable roster and a better shot at making a run,” or he may see immediate playing time for a school he’s obviously interested in.
It’ll also be a completely different roster by the time he’d get there so I imagine he’d wait and see what happens next year when the roster almost completely turns over.

Maybe he wants to set rebounding records? With all the bricks that team tosses up he should be able to get 20 a game no problem.
