Did Trump Violate Campaign Finance Laws?

I swear - lefties spend more time on conservative sites than conservatives.

It's almost like they want to be informed and also hear what the other side is saying. A lot better than being in a Fox News bubble. Probably why the liberals on this board so consistently destroy you guys in arguments.

Are you in middle school? Good lord - beating your chest about "owning" or "destroying" someone on a message board. Says a lot about your life.

It's the only way to really describe when someone thoroughly debunks someones arguments with real facts. Not our fault you guys are so poorly informed and taken with propaganda. Fox News has destroyed the Republican party.

Did you say something about real facts? Republicans have the Presidency, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Reps, 34 of 50 governorships, 35 of state senates, 31 of state houses, and soon to have majority on the U.S. Supreme Court.
If the Republican Party has been destroyed by Fox News, good lord, I'd hate to see how bad it would be for you if we only had CNN to give us our news.

Most likely not, according to Professor Alan Dershowitz, a man who voted for HRC in 2016.

Seems like they are really playing the payments to the women as top priority. Just read the National Enquirer head man was granted immunity for info on Cohen and Trump. Never thought 2 black mailing women would bring this to a head. State of NY wants to know if the money was taken out of the Trump Foundation to pay them. Russian collusion, what happened. Non stop assault. He may have to hire Mr. Dershowitz.

Yeah - CNN spent 18 months talking about Russia and the net result is money sent to a couple of ladies to not kiss and tell. Wow - they really got him. LOL!

Sorry, I believe Dershowitz over this former elections lawyer turned journalist because I want to. :p

The guy from the Blaze is not wrong in what he says, just incomplete. He leaves the angle out about Trump/personal/marriage benefit which changes the debate.

I think it comes down to whether it can be proven. How does one determine Trump's motives for making the payments? All he has to say is that he didn't want his family to find out. How does a prosecutor overcome that?

Makes you wonder how many payments like this were made in the pre internet days.

And then we also had this:
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...sconduct-before-election-day-report-says.html
It sure will be entertaining to hear Trump’s testimony on cross examination if he wants to make that claim.

You've still got a small amount of time to save face, boys, and stop immediately defending/dismissing each development (only to casually accept it by the time you're defending/dismissing the next development).

This is gonna get far worse before it gets better.
It's a slow drip.......and before long pubs will find themselves defending things that under normal circumstances they wouldn't. I suppose they could say, if they had known before the election, they would have voted for a cheating husband that lied and tried to pay off his mistresses. Not sure I believe that......but they have defended themselves into that corner already. Long ways to go and the rats are starting to abandon ship.

The only rats are people like you who cheer on the deep state and seemingly approve of corrupt political dynasties like the Bushes.

The cheating husband theme you regularly pound was already baked into the cake by election time. It's not like Stormy Daniels was the first to accuse Trump of bad behavior from 10+ years prior. It wouldn't have changed my decision, because I could not stand the idea of the Clinton Cartel being in the WH.

What we have learned since the election only amplifies that decision. Obama, the Clintons, and their media lackies will stop at nothing to override the 2016 election result. They thought she was a shoo-in to be re-elected, and the American people had the gall to say otherwise. The people ultimately didn't buy what she was selling. She ran a pathetic campaign, chock full of serious strategic gaffes. Her own arrogance and stupidity cost her dearly.

As bad a Trump is, I'm still glad Hillary isn't president.

Oh brother. One does realize that Trump's behavior with woman is not exactly a new thing? It was known for a long time. I do not see anyone defending it. What I do see is people that screamed collusion, conspiracy, and in some cases treason goading over tax evasion and hush money. Worlds apart. I mean, maybe you have a point if Trump paid off Russian hookers-I do not know. Just trying to help you out here.

This really is kinda of the crux of the issue for most people...it necessarily wasn't a vote for Trump and what he stood for, it was just a much a vote against the Clinton machine which I can't fault.

This election was not about morality because we all got dealt some crappy options...every single person who voted did so for a candidate with questionable morals (save smoky Gary Johnson?). So trying to make this about morality now is useless.

Haha. So we're all done with the investigations? Trump foundation, Pecker, another Mannafort trial, Cohen isn't finished, and there's still that pesky Mueller thing. Drip drip. Go ahead with your end zone celebration but we haven't even reached half-time.

Read. I said you are defending your vote by downplaying his faults.......not that you are defending them. They're no big deal......like your other post about these charges being underwhelming. You dismiss everything that looks bad for Trump. Somehow you think it all makes Trump look better.......at least not as bad. Sorry that campaign violations isn't sexy, but it is still breaking the law.

You disregard every transgression that comes up. There may or may not be a nuclear Trump bomb out there, but each drip gets us closer to finding out. Even if there isn't, each instance of Trump flaunting laws and norms just adds to the list........and the list may very well be what gets him. Meanwhile, you will continue to act like the list means nothing.

I did not like being pushed around by small middle eastern countries in military situations. I did not like being cold to Israel. I did not like Iran telling us what to do and intercepting our boats and showing our military on their knees on TV. I did not like our economy being stagnant. I did not like being told No Merry Christmas, say Happy Holidays. Just a few things why a change was voted in.

LOL, you are a complete tool. I will try to make sense of this gibberish.

Haha. So we're all done with the investigations?

I said or implied that where? I will wait.

Trump foundation, Pecker, another Mannafort trial, Cohen isn't finished, and there's still that pesky Mueller thing. Drip drip. Go ahead with your end zone celebration but we haven't even reached half-time.

So what exactly did I celebrate and where? I will wait. Mannafort and Cohen are Maanafort and Cohen, not Trump. Newsflash, people are responsible for their own actions. That pesky Mueller thing? Like I said, show the treason, collusion, and conspiracy. That is what this was supposed to be about. I am having a hard time seeing how hush money to playboy models and strippers is collusion. Maybe you can help me with the connection. You have a lot of projections issues, much like qazplm did. Dems/libs are celebrating now. Over what? Not sure.

Read. I said you are defending your vote by downplaying his faults.......not that you are defending them.

Did I vote for him? No. Am I glad he is in office over Clinton? Yes. Not downplaying his faults if one would read posts that would be easily seen. Many of these faults were known well before election. People are getting all worked up and excited over known character issues and forget this all started out with alleged treason/collusion/conspiracy.

They're no big deal......like your other post about these charges being underwhelming. You dismiss everything that looks bad for Trump. Somehow you think it all makes Trump look better.......at least not as bad. Sorry that campaign violations isn't sexy, but it is still breaking the law.

I know Cohen and Mannafort broke the law, do not see or know where where Trump did. And even pundits on the left state that if he did it to keep from his wife or keep the news away from family it is not a violation. Is it a mess, sure is. Feel bad for Melania and Ivanka more than anything. Campaign violations are a common occurrence fixed by paying money back or a fine. Just reality. Does it make Trump look better? Not sure how. It is not the entire collusion/conspiracy though.

You disregard every transgression that comes up. There may or may not be a nuclear Trump bomb out there, but each drip gets us closer to finding out. Even if there isn't, each instance of Trump flaunting laws and norms just adds to the list........and the list may very well be what gets him. I am not sure where you get confused as I think you get confused pretty easy. But Mannafort and Cohen being guilty is not a Trump transgression. Trump paid some hush money to American woman that he had sex with. Ok, that helps with what? Are they Russian? Did the Russians pay for it? I think if enough politicians think they need to impeach Trump to save their butts they will. That has always been the case, it always will. Has nothing to do with any list. Flaunting laws and norms not even sure what that means. As for the list meaning nothing? In terms of the original allegations, right now, there is no connection.

With all this talk about you have about dripping would suggest you go see a doctor.

fortunately voters have independents and alternative party choices, not just team R/D.

trump has a perfect opportunity to run as independent next election, and truly disrupt these deep state fears

Move the goalposts?

Maybe I am way out of the loop but I thought the start of this whole thing was FISA warrants based on collusion, conspiracy. Then obstruction and then a handful of liberals that were in a position to know mentioned treason.

The investigations as of now are pretty far removed from that. That is where the goalposts moved.

Like I said before, Trump, the guy is an a--hole, especially with how he treats women. That is not the aforementioned.

trump seemed to be on quite a different 'acceptable' level for many voters, back in the time frame when he trotted out the clinton women

Voting for morals kind of went out the window with Bill Clinton. GWB tried to play that card but he was no saint either.

To your list I will add the following. No more unfettered illegal immigration. No more open doors for people who would wish to visit harm upon nation. No more settling for a "new normal" type of economy hamstrung by overregulation, unfettered free trade madness, higher taxes, and socialistic spending programs like Obamacare. No more continual playing of identity politics (black vs. white, gay vs. straight, women vs. men, Muslims vs. Christians and Jews, atheists vs. believers, etc., etc.) No more "leading from behind". No more making America and its citizens' interests secondary to other nations.

I don't totally disagree. I think he felt that running as an R would be easier than running as an I, only because it gave him the party apparatus (with its good and bad sides) from which to work (collect voter data, access to political donor class, some help in Congress, a name brand, etc.) Truth be told, Trump beat both the R Establishment (beat 17 other R candidates including Jeb Bush, Kasich, Rubio, etc.) and he obviously beat the D Establishment (HRC and her DNC machine).

Yeah, moving the goalposts in acceptable behavior for a president.

It was assumed when the AMI tape came out that *if* Trump had actually directed the payments, and the payments happened, it'd be a bad thing (but that wasn't good enough evidence for folks). Now, that's clearly what happened but the goalposts are moved again because "it wasn't collusion" (which, ironically, *is* collusion).

As though "collusion" is the only impeachable offense for a president. Replace all of these characters with Clinton campaign characters and you don't think articles of impeachment would be promptly drafted by this Congress? gtfo

Trump's "reciprocity" has become your "unfettered".
