Yeah, definitely. However, the justice system is unfortunately not always full proof. There are m big margins l of error in the justice system. There have been a lot of death row inmates executed or on the verge of execution that did not commit the crime. Mostly blacks. For decades, police have coerced confessions out blacks for crimes that they did not commit. A while back a retired Chicago cop was convicted of doing just that. He tortured many blacks in custody to get confessions. In the 90s, a white lady was raped in Central Park. 6 black teenagers were accused and convicted. Their confessions were beat out of them. While serving time, new evidence came out that totally exonerated them.
