Prior liberal SCOTUS made it unconstitutional to give the death penalty to child sexual battery cases. I have kids and grandkids. I think the court should turn over the penalty administration of these criminals to the parents of the child. What do you think?
I think putting the life of a convicted criminal in the hands of his victim’s family is somewhat medieval. It’s certainly not objective justice. I recognize that if it happened to one of my children or grandchildren I might feel differently.

You are always quick to kill someone. If the justice system was foolproof, perhaps I would believe in government capital punishment. I know y'all don't want to hear it but throughout the years there have been hundreds and hundreds of folks and mostly black and brown folks had their executions totally overturned. They have been exonerated due to modern technology like DNA and other methods. If it was up to you, these innocent folks would have been killed by execution. The state of Illinois back in the 90s had to suspend death after over 20 or so death row inmates had their convictions overturned due to new evidence. A group of Northwestern law students were part of this program. You need to move to Saudi Arabia.

Maybe, maybe not. I’m talking about more blacks have been historically wrongfully accused that have been on death row and subsequently executed for crimes that they did not commit. That is not debatable. This goes back to what I’ve been saying all along, there are 2 justice systems in the US. One for whites and one for blacks. That is not debatable either.

Yeah, definitely. However, the justice system is unfortunately not always full proof. There are m big margins l of error in the justice system. There have been a lot of death row inmates executed or on the verge of execution that did not commit the crime. Mostly blacks. For decades, police have coerced confessions out blacks for crimes that they did not commit. A while back a retired Chicago cop was convicted of doing just that. He tortured many blacks in custody to get confessions. In the 90s, a white lady was raped in Central Park. 6 black teenagers were accused and convicted. Their confessions were beat out of them. While serving time, new evidence came out that totally exonerated them.
The Juice had money to hire a dream team of lawyers. These, lawyers were able to expose how sloppy the LA police were in collecting the evidence. Walking around the crime scene. Drops of blood being unnaturally placed in places etc. The LA police were exposed on how racist the detectives involved in the case were. Then you had an intellectually deficient prosecutor to have OJ try on the infamous glove that did not fit. Therefore, there were a lot doubt that was introduced and the jury has no choice to find OJ not guilty.

Don’t know. Been going back and forth for the longest. I think I have come to my opinion that he did not kill then with his own hands. He may have hired someone to do the killing. To me the timeline for him to do the killing and to catch his ride to the airport did not jive. If I remember correctly, the only item of clothing that they found blood on was the infamous glove. If OJ did the killing himself, he would not have the time to discard all of the bloody clothes, assuming the killer would be covered with blood from a scene like that.

If a Black man had accidentally killed a White man, on the NY subway, a White man with the same violent history and recent actions that lead to his death as the Black Man.
Would there be riots on the street, Congressmen and Mayors mandating the murder charge and celebrities condemning the action of the Black man?

Anyone with 25% of a brain knows that OJ murdered his wife and her friend. Did the prosecution do a poor job in court? Yes, they failed miserably. And whether cops were racist or not has nothing to do with anything.
That doesn't negate the fact that even though the court didn't find him guilty, that he didn't do it. Which he did.

If a white guy were tortured in to a confession, my reaction would be "well, that sucks" and I'd go on with my day.
