How were things before FDR's New Deal? Which is where Republicans are trying to take us. Look up Republican policies, they aren't what's described. "Middle class tax cuts" that over 80% of the benefits go to the wealthiest instead of the middle class. Financial deregulation that only helps Wall St and allows big banks to take advantage of their customers. Giving companies carte blanche to pollute, poison people, and wreck the environment. Health care, something that every.single.person. will end up needing in their lifetime, to be reserved for the wealthiest while those unable to pay should just die quickly. Social policies meant to turn anyone that's not a white christian male into a 2nd class citizen.
I have no interest in the dystopian hellscape republicans want.

I have healthcare, I also manage to have empathy and realize that there are many not as fortunate.
The tax cut for the wealthy is indisputable, there is no possible argument that it was a middle class tax cut. Find one policy that the GOP supports that strengthens financial regulations to protect consumers. Find one policy that the GOP supports that protects the environment instead of corporate profits being the end all be all. Find one policy the GOP supports that expands access to healthcare to those that need it.
I think the problem is you’re ignorant to what the GOP actually does, instead of what they say they do.

We spend a trillion a year on defense related costs (add “aid” to other nations, homeland security, etc). Here:

Free college at state schools (as a fan of Eugene debs, I don’t think it’s necessary to pay for Notre Dame or Stanford. I’d be happy if the kids of the working poor could go to governors state for free): 60 billion

Ending homelessness in American annually: 20 billion

Single payer: just go public, cut out the waste of middle men insurance companies we save 200 billion per annum according to conservative studies.
