• Devin Mockobee was Purdue's highest-graded offensive player, in part because of a great grade In the passing game and a solid game in pass protection, which has not been a strength for Purdue's running backs. Dylan Downing and Kobe Lewis again graded poorly in that regard.
• Great pass-blocking grade for left tackle Eric Miller, left guard Spencer Holstege and left tackle Mahamane Moussa.
Hartwig, Holstege and Moussa were 2-3-4 on Purdue's grade hierarchy and Miller was sixth.
Over 71 snaps — the whole game — Daniel Johnson was Purdue's lowest-graded high-volume-snaps player, but even then, he didn't grade terribly overall.

• Jacob Wahlberg was Purdue's highest-graded defender in the first extensive action he's seen. Chris Jefferson and Branson Deen were second and third.
• Mediocre grades all across the secondary other than Jefferson, with Sanoussi Kane's and Cam Allen's tackling grades being poor, after each were credited with four missed tackles. Those were eight of Purdue's nine misses.
• Purdue didn't record a sack. But Deen and Kydran Jenkins generated a pair of pressures each.
• This was a little surprising: FAU averaged only 1.88 yards after contact in the running game.
• FAU averaged 9.4 yards on seven rushing attempts over left end, but that was almost all quarterback N'Kosi Perry.
• Perry was 5-of-7 on throws of 20 yards or more in the air, for 126 yards and a touchdown No bueno.
