Curtis Deville

I will give Brohm some kudos here, he has really landed some much needed talent and it gives me a lot of hope for this upcoming season.

Not trying to pick a fight- what does it have to do with this season?

Meaning Curtis is listed as a 2022 commitment so will not join us this fall but next year sometime.

I am- just confused what that has to do with this specific commitment that will not factor into this year.
I understand. the post to which you responded was this:

and, he has landed much needed talent. Not just HS recruits, but transfers, as well.

To you point, it remains to be seen how that talent translates... this year and in future years. Some will play immediately. As with every year, some players will take a year or two to develop (mostly the HS recruits). Others (transfers, maybe a HS recruit or two) should contribute immediately.

Again, how does landing a 2022 recruit give anyone more hope for the 2021 season? Is there some kind of early playing time this kid's gonna get at Purdue during his senior year of high school?

Again, if you read the context of the prior post, it wasn't about a specific recruit, it was about the players being brought in.

All of them.

Transfers, as well as recruits.

It wasn't about *this* particular kid.

Goodness, Pat.

It seems to be it was a generalized statement more than anything else, but I am just guessing. Do we really need to look for things to argue about now? It was a positive statement about the program can we not just let those go?

I guess I just don't see the need to rail on someone for posting something positive when we have enough threads that dwindle in to the much for one reason or another.

“Not trying to pick a fight…” = railing on someone?

Agreed! I will say though that a month or so ago I finally ignored a couple people and now most of the threads are much more pleasant to read. There is still some back and forth but 90% of the name calling is now gone for me.

I am excited about this young man and our early pull for ‘22. I read one article that said he was not as polished as Cooper out of Indy, but probably had more upside because of his athleticism.

Was not aware you can ignore people on this board. Great info. Thanks

This.

This is why we cannot have nice things.

😉

Saying "not trying to pick a fight" then subsequently picking a fight, is

But you do you. I've said all I'm going to on this and am moving on and not mire a thread down with needless bickering. Be well!

Anyway welcome Curtis!
