Charlamagne

What Charlemagne said is far from the truth. Just recently the Dems secured millions of more money to the HBCU’s, confirmed the 1st black woman Suprrme Court Justice. Passed the Anti-Lynching bill. House and Senate Dems passed and voted respectively for the John Lewis Voting Rights Bill that senate repubs shot down. The Dems came through as far as the Affordable Care Act. House and Senate Dems voted for the Crime Bill the the Senate repubs shot down. On and on.

I don’t know what his agenda is but in my opinion is that he is trying to stir the pot for ratings, social media traffic padding etc. I bet you during the same interview with Buttigieg that he never mentioned the lack of interest when it comes to the repubs and blacks.

First, was the anti-lynching bill really necessary? And the Dems could have passed the Scott bill but then he's a Tom because he's a GOP guy. The Lewis bill was a sham. And the first black woman on the SC....strictly a racist move by Joe Biden. You can't honestly tell me that of all the justices in this great country she's the best choice. Once again, Joe and Dems are buying your vote.

Shhh… We can’t say that on here anymore. Black traitors is what I them now. However, I never listened to his show before but I’ve heard of him throughout and Democratic candidates seem to always go on his show. Also, most of his listeners are black. So therefore he most likely leans left. I wouldn’t call him a black traitor. There are a few blacks that, incorrectly in my opinion, feel that the Democratic Party has taken them for granted through the years. Perhaps Charlemagne is one of them.

Heck yes the anti-lynching bill is necessary. Black peoples are still getting lynched. Ahmad Arbery was lynched in every inch of the word.

The bill Tim Scott came up with, perhaps he meant well. However, his bill came short when it came to banning choke holds by police. Also, his bill did not put bad cops in a national database so that if they are fired at one police district that they can’t go down to next one and get hired. The cop that killed Tamir Rice was fired from the police department in a neighboring city and then got rehired by Cleveland. Even here in NW Indiana, years ago a police officer was fired from the Hammond police department for pulling his weapon on a fellow officer during a dispute. Then got hired by the East Chicago police.

As far as Justice Brown-Jackson. Your statement, “You can't honestly tell me that of all the justices in this great country she's the best choice” is very troublesome. I don’t remember you or anyone here with a similar statement about the nomination Justice Amy Barrett. Brown-Jackson has as much if not more qualifications as any of the sitting justices. Didn’t Reagan and Chump say specifically that they wanted to nominate a woman. Assuming that that nominee was going to white, y’all had no problems with that. Would that be sexist at the least?

Speaking of Brown-Jackson. It was a sad day to see the senate repubs get up and walk out as they confirmed the 1st black woman justice. That very classless move set the country back 55 years. Lindsay Graham even took off his suit coat so that he can cast his vote from another room so that he wouldn’t be seen in the senate chambers. I don’t see how you can justify that.

Brown-Jackson was nominated because of her skin color and gender, not because of her qualifications. Biden said it himself. Nobody can blame the Republicans for walking out because the best candidate wasn’t chosen and nominated. The candidate was chosen because of identity politics. She’ll always be looked at as a marginalized justice and not legitimate. More black privilege.

Nope, nope, nope. Yes, Biden wanted to choose a black woman. Biden did not nominate Lil' Kim. The woman he chose exceeded all qualifications compared to any of the sitting justices and processors. Even though it is not a requirement but many of the white male justices were not even judges prior to serving. According to your logic, Sandra Day O'Connor and Amy Barrett were only chosen because they were women, not because of their qualifications, right?

Yes, yes, yes. You’re using a lot of words to say nothing. Biden said he was going to nominate a black woman and by saying that, his decision was made purely on identity politics, not the best or most qualified candidate. I’m not using any of my own logic, just telling you what Biden said. She is a justice because she’s black. He said it himself. She’ll forever be known as the justice that was chosen purely because of her skin color. Some could label that black privilege.

If that is the case then Sandra Day O'Connor and Amy Barrett are only justices because they are women, right? Regardless of qualifications.

Back in the 90's when Thurgood Marshall died. Did Clarence Thomas get nominated because he was black? Everyone knew that they had to select another black justice to replace Thurgood Marshall.

There is no such thing as black privilege.

Yes there is. She was nominated because she was black. That’s black privilege. Companies all over the country are hiring employees that are less qualified but they have to hit certain diversity numbers. That’s black privilege. They’re being favored because they’re black.

Privilege - a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.

Now who is playing the victim? Bonefish1 and others here have accused me of claiming to being a victim all the time here for pointing out racism. How do you know that these people being hired are not qualified. You know white women have benefited from affirmative action more than anyone else. Where is your outrage there?

Do you agree that O'Connor and Barrett were nominated for being a woman?

In your mind, how is Justice Ketanji Brown-jackson not qualified to serve on the Supreme Court?

Victim? Who’s playing the victim? I’m pointing out black privilege and it obviously existing. You’re playing the victim by denying it.

Where did I say she wasn’t qualified? I said that she was chosen because she’s black. We don’t know if there were better and more qualified candidates because the pool was limited to black females. He marginalized her. She will always have that hanging over her head. The marginalized justice who was selected because of her skin color. That was the most important criteria according to Biden and the race thirsty Democrats.

You did not answer my other questions. What about O'Connor and Barrett? Didn't Reagan and Chump marginalized them? Limiting the pool to only females?

Not every black person lives on 59th and Halsted. Have I been to working class neighborhoods? Are you kidding me? I’ve lived in NW Indiana all my life. Nobody is laughing about the Democrats around here. The mayor of Hammond is running for senate. I hope he wins.

Was Ahmad Arbery lynched? Yes or no.
No, he was shot.
Perps were charged and convicted. Judicial system worked. Adding a anti-lynching law is only pushing a narrative that is tiring to say the least. Once the DEMs butts get kicked, maybe you and others carrying your same message will realize America is tired of the concocted messages and the BLM money being spent corruptly. Time to put all America first.

Hammond? What about the performance of Tom McDermott’s near 20 years of leadership in Hammond makes you “hope he wins.” ????

One of the most violent cities in the State, one of the worst performing school districts, oppressive public debt, family corruption, crumbling infrastructure, and declining population and property values (while the rest of NWI is increasing). There is nothing about his administration that hasn’t been a failure. Seriously, there is nothing about this guys leadership that says, “oh, he is so successful he needs more power and authority.”

People here in Lake County are so used to really how bad it is they just don’t see it. Many don’t travel or been anywhere else, they think this is a good place to live as Democrats have programmed them to believe and made false promises.

The repubs senators walking out of the chambers including the 2 Indiana senators during the confirmation of the 1st black Supreme Court Justice. Do you think that was good optics in the eyes of black voters? That incident is just one of many racist events that turn most blacks off from the Republican party.

Is it good optics to deliver historically poor performing schools which graduate children of colors at alarming low rates?

Any concern about the disproportionately high number of liquor and tobacco stores that McDermott has ok’d in Hammond?

Under performing schools have nothing to do with political party affiliation. It has everything to do with the kids themselves that are going to these schools. The parents or parent don’t emphasize importance of school. They don’t help their child with supplying the tools to do school work. For example, teachers in these types of districts are reluctant to even assign homework because the child at home don’t have paper, pens, pencils etc. Then bring the work back to school incomplete. There are very good teachers in these schools but they don’t have good parent support for the kids to succeed. A Republican mayor will not be able to change the home dynamics for success of these kids in schools. I feel sorry for teachers if their merit pay depends on test scores.

Classless: Nancy Pelosi ripping State of Union address ring any ding dongs in you head? Any provisions for fake lynchings in the bill? Just asking.

They wern't required to be white women though. Just women is a pretty even split of population

I work with National student and school data. I can tell you which States and localities returned their children to in-person first. And which refused to.. The Chicago and State Dem. party destroyed thousands of minority lives, and literally killed kids. Don’t tell me party affiliation doesn’t matter.

First of all janice Brown was never nominated to the Supreme Court. It was her nomination to the DC District court that Biden along with black law makers tried to block her appointment. Black lawmakers did not want her to become another Clarence Thomas because her rulings, including affirmative action were very similar to rulings of the one Clarence Thomas. Therefore Biden's filibuster looked good in the eyes of black democratic voters as the the Congressional Black Caucus

I knew there would be some kind of spin to make Biden and the Democrats free from this wrong doing. But hey, it’s all good now with the first black confirmed to the Supreme Court.
