Call the NFL (212) 450-2000 and tell them to invoke Rule 17, Art. 2 Section 2

What is incredably unbelievable to me is how anyone could possibly have missed this call to begin with. I mean, everyone in the stadium knew where the ball was going to as soon as the ball left Drew's hand. It was the officials only job, at this point to be watching the receiver and the ball. Anyone could see that the defender runs from across the field to take out the receiver, with not even a glance at the ball. In fact, an argument can be made this actually targeting, since it was helmet to helmet. Regardless of that, how could the official NOT call that PI. It should have been 1st and 10, instead of 4th down, with only 1:45 in regulation time.

I'm not one to call this card, but this looks too much like a FIX to me, folks. This shouldn't have even required a review, of any kind. I'll call this number because I want something to be done about this crap. I'm not anti Ram, but this is totally wrong.
Just saw another video of the event. The ref who did not make the call told his sideline ref to stay out of it. Pointed his finger at him to stay out of it. The ref who did not make the call should be done.

just heard on ESPN radio that 4 referees (Head Referee, Head Linesman aka Down judge, Side Judge and Back Judge) are all from Southern California.

Sporting News confirms it.

The Line Judge and Field Judge were closest to the call, but the Head Ref & Back Judge are within eye sight to make that call as well.

4 of 7 referees are from Southern California? The Field Judge and Side Judge in question are not officially from Southern Cal. It still stinks one hell of a lot knowing the NFL put the crew together and >50% are from Southern California. A mere coincidence?

The 4 referees also handled a game where the Rams lost earlier in the year. The Rams petitioned for one of them not to be assigned to the game.

The Rams were 0-8 in games reffed by Vinovich before the Saints game. They just flat-out blew the call. Unfortunately that's where it ends. The Saints had plenty of ways to overcome the call.

Must be in a small group of people that think that the Saints got royally screwed. There seems to be smoke, but evidently no fire. I'll accept it was a "normal" call and there was no behind the scene funny money issues with NFL hiring a Southern California crew to make a crucial call that was f'ing obvious to everyone except the crew within 10 yards of the call.

The East Coast / West Coast alignment with an estimated Billion dollar gameday on the line is minor detail. Do not pay any attention to Roger Goodell behind the curtains pulling the levers and switches. Oz has Spoken! LOL:) Back to burying my head in the sand. That was as rigged as a boxing match in the 1980's thru 2012 era.

Sorry Saints, we made a bad call and we'll call Sean Payton immediately after the game to state that + fine Rams DB Robey-Coleman $26,739.

Throw the flag, new set of downs, use the clock and score TD or kick FG and Saints would be there. Sorry Saints fans consolation prize is bad call + fine. A few years from now, there will be an FBI investigation that will change it from smoke to fire & somebody within the NFL will be a fall guy.

You are really discounting how bad NFL officiating has been this year. They have literally been issuing apologies for terrible calls all year. The Browns alone got at least 3 or 4. There was a play against TB where Baker Mayfield scrambled and slid down. The Bucs defender launched himself head first and speared Mayfield in the head while he was sliding. The flag was thrown, the refs huddled, then PICKED UP THE FLAG and announced that "since he was a runner it was ok to hit him in the head." An NFL referee literally announced to the stadium and the viewing public that head to head contact on a sliding QB was ok. I could give you others nearly as bad.

You are not in a small group that thinks they got screwed. 99% of us think they did. You're in the small group that thinks it was a conspiracy, and that the NFL could or might do something to "fix" it.

There is no conspiracy. There is only ineptitude.

A thorough and constructive response. I choose to disagree though.
With all the refs (7) + Targeting rule which is reviewable, there is no excuse not even ineptitude. Someone knew something and that meant to keep flags in your pocket and move on.

There is something fishy going on with that much $$$'s at stake. Similar to Shoe Deals + AAU coaches + Top talent + unscrupulous D1 coachs = Corruption. FBI prodded the smoke and found fire. NFL will have FBI sniffing around soon enough. Just my $.02

Watching this Rams QB stubble around I think what kind of damage Drew could be doing to these Patriots. More and more, I think the fix was in. One more reason to stop watching these games.

Sad Drew is not playing.

Just found out this morning who won. Did not watch it. If attendance and tv rating start going down, the NFL might start doing something about refs and other problems this league is experiencing more and more.

ratings were up significantly in 2018

The Rams QB could not find receivers. He left three touchdowns get away just because he couldn't go through his reads quickly enough. Drew Brees could always get through his reads quickly. The Saints would have scored at least 3 TD's. Of course their defense...

Unfortunately, we'll never know. Ugh! Super Bore yesterday. Sure, Defense wins championships...yadda...yadda...yadda. Patriots win AGAIN!
If I were any of the 16 regular season games next season, I'd focus on sidelining Brady for the remainder of the season. Without him, 1/2 of the duo is knocked out. IIRC,Bernard Pollard, he took care of Brady ~ 10 years ago in game 1. It marked their only season that they didn't make the playoffs as well.

I was incorrect, you were right. They won 11 games though.

Dang, that is rare that you are wrong. ;)
To admit it makes me respect your jabbing me all the time trying to keep me honest as well.
Ill admit it on the rare occasion it happens.

For Belichick to win 11 with Cassel (barf) is proof enough he is the greatest. He won that game last night. Brady was pedestrian at best.

Boy, howdy! How about that Brady! One of the all-time GREATS - right up there with the likes of Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino!

I tell ya... Vince McMahon's got nuthin' on Roger Goodell!

LOL - Like the FBI is gonna do anything?

WWF/WWE was fake and got ratings...NFL has been heading that direction for 30 years. It is ‘ENTERTAINMENT, that’s all. This ‘horrific call’ was exactly what the league wanted...is anyone talking about the NFL? Yes, EVERYONE is, you cannot but marketing like that
