I think it could be some behind the scenes workings to possibly see if the players enjoy spending time in real life situations with each other and to see how their skills match up. Not a bad idea if the three of them have discussed playing with each other in college to do this. Hell, if I was good enough to be playing at a high major basketball program, I would seek out a player or two to try and pair up with. It seems that is becoming more and more the way to go with major players latching on with other top talent as part of a package deal.
