Still close in the 3rd quarter. Hope I don't jinx it but Purdue actually winning the turnover battle at this point, and actually shooting well, absent Oden and McLaughlin. Harris has 3 fouls so need to keep her out of trouble rest of game. Farquhar playing well so far. Opportunity is there - go get it ladies!

Yep, unfortunately. Had the deficit down to 5 early in 4th quarter but couldn't hit shots rest of way. Outside shooting didn't help tonight - went 0'fer on three pointers. Still have a reasonable shot at a 9 & 3 non conference record. Playing at South Carolina will be a huge challenge so not expecting a win down there.

Agree - outside shooting has been poor for a few games this season.

Yes uneven team which has folded vs real tests. Prob still top 5 in BT possible but was hoping for more.

Seems so far some similar issues as last season(wow, lots of esses in that comment). Wearing down later in games, with resultant turnover and shooting problems. Need to develop depth, and quickly.

Wearing down, yes. They really have had a rough schedule getting back Monday afternoon and then leaving Wed evening. Plus getting ready for finals. I can see why they would be fatigued. The ACC/B1G schedulers did them no favor by scheduling an away game for this match.

But man, their outside shooting has ran away and hid. McLaughlin has been in such a slump - never saw her shoot this badly over numerous games. Oden has always been streaky. Farquhar was certainly a star last night but otherwise a poor showing. Very disappointed. If McLaughlin does not get her shooting touch back we are in for another long season.

Hadn't looked at the travel schedule but makes sense. Agree with your other points. Really need for McLaughlin to break out of her slump and for one or more of the new/younger players to step up. And CUT DOWN on the turnovers as a team.

Looks like Kent State puts up a lot of three's, and may not be a real good rebounding team. They've played both Michigan and OSU already - one reasonably close and the other, not so much. Purdue needs to get back on track tomorrow.
