I thought it was just Vince pregame huddle. Went by so fast I didn't remember seeing Biggie. However there is still no reason he shouldn't have been in that video making some type of play
You could say the same thing about players on about 30-40 of the other NCAA participants. Yes, Biggie was a very good player this season but whoever the people that edit and put together "One Shining Moment" at CBS have no mandatory obligation to do that. This reeks of cheese and whine. You know how he would have for sure been on it? If Purdue would have made the Final Four or further, that's how.
Top 2 or 3 players in the country...............I agree with the OP. HIs accomplishments are, well, record breaking. However, I'm not surprised by the snub.
The hype of the ncaa is to generate more hype for the ncaa, not the recognition of a great college player...it is what it is...
I mean we're talking about a rather short video of incredibly short clips. The NCAA does not produce the video either, for the record.
definite snub. if you got him the ball down low, it was 2 or 2 and one.... can't say that about any other player in america, so yea, 1st team All-American is a no-brainer and any other place is a farce and narrow-minded thinking. How many double-doubles do you have to have to be AA?
When Biggie de-commits to the NBA after taking his draft temperature, the NCAA will be billing him and selling his likeness for next season like none other, but the BIG TEN will do so even more. It will be a marketing swoon for branded basketball. I predict Purdue wins the B1G next year, gets to the Final Four and gets eliminated. All in all, great year, and a huge boost for biggie's draft stock... lottery pick next year.
Who cares whether he was on the One Shining Moment or not? Purdue lost (badly) in a regional semifinal, so from my view, CBS can put together that thing however they choose.
