Biggest game since....?

Probably won't be a popular choice but say the iu game last year in bloomington. Had to get a win to show clear separation from iu in terms of bubble teams. Plus we did have a fairly easy schedule last year and needed a road win to add to the resume against a semi-comptent opponent. I know I know thats giving way too much credit to iu but I felt like it was the biggest win of the season along with o$u at home last year.
But I am probably biased since that game is in my top 5 all time favorite wins since I started watching Purdue basketball back in 2003.

You mean vs Kansas in the tourney with Robbie or Kansas in 94? Hopefully the former, but even then a bit of a stretch. It's Butler in December folks. Let's just get the win and move on. I don't want to put the game on too much of a pedestal. I would say biggest game since last year at MSU or IU. Tough challenge away from home against a good opponent. We can and should win, but if we lose a close one not the end of the world. It would be a bigger blow for the conference than for Purdue if we lose in my opinion.

At the end of the day it's just another game. The mindset should be that every game is a big game. That's how great teams approach a season. I hope no one is expecting that Purdue is going to win every one that we play this year. will I be disappointed if we lose to Butler today, yes, but then it on to Tuesday night, another big game.

Yes Hummels senior year. And I disagree that it's just another game. This is the first chance we have in years to stake a claim at being the best team in the state of Indiana. Beating Butler these days is bigger than some wins in the big ten. Especially in the Indianapolis area for recruiting.

I have seen the better team lose the game many times.

Youngstown State

If you think Youngstown State was a bigger game than @Pitt, then you are a fool.

Yes, all games matter. But not all games are created equal. Neutral site game against #17 Butler is the biggest game of this season to this date.

Could be the first win in this damn thing, and basically it solidifies the top team status in the state...............all other boot lickers to the back of the line. Not a huge game....but IMO, a big one (for monkey off the back purposes).

If we have aspirations of really competing for a championship we can't view this as a huge game. This is a team that we should beat. We need to get a win, but we're also expected to get a win. Keep everything in perspective. Our truly big games will come later in the season against teams like MSU and Maryland.
