If PU ends the regular season at the top of the conference with the same record as Wisc, is the only advantage that PU gets the top seed in the Big10 tourney due to head-to-head tiebreaker? Lots left for this scenario to come true but curious.

Yes. I believe we also hold the tie breaker in the case of a three way tie with Wisconsin and Maryland due to beating both.

Yes.....best % in games among the teams. Obviously, Purdue has the head-to-head tiebreaker against Maryland as well.

Don't rule out a three-way tie @ 14-4.....not saying it's going to happen, but not that many scenarios would need to occur for that to be the end result.

Regardless, the quarterfinal match-ups for the BTT could be quite interesting.....still a lot of shake-up in the middle of the standings might happen.

I think it'll end up being Purdue-Minnesota/Michigan State and Maryland-Michigan on the other side.

So we would only win a share of the B1G regular season title if we tie? The tie breaker doesn't matter for that?

With the creation of the BTT AND the addition of the other teams, the regular season title means much less and its essentially a participation trophy if a tie breaks out, IMO.

Simple solution: Boilers should win out and crush everyone who stands in their way!

Here's one that pops up if Purdue loses to NW and Wisconsin beats Maryland but loses to Michigan State.

You can go to the games still left and switch/swap out winners and losers to generate a different bracket.

1. Purdue (14 - 4) Defeated Wisconsin and Maryland based on round-robin record.
2. Wisconsin (14 - 4) Defeated Maryland and lost to Purdue based on round-robin record.
3. Maryland (14 - 4) Lost to Purdue and Wisconsin based on round-robin record.
4. Northwestern (12 - 6)
5. Michigan State (11 - 7)
6. Minnesota (10 - 8)
7. Michigan (9 - 9)
8. Indiana (8 - 10)
Defeated Iowa based on head-to-head record.
9. Iowa (8 - 10) Lost to Indiana based on head-to-head record.
10. Penn State (7 - 11)
11. Ohio State (6 - 12)
Defeated Nebraska based on head-to-head record.
12. Nebraska (6 - 12) Lost to Ohio State based on head-to-head record.
13. Illinois (5 - 13)
14. Rutgers (2 - 16)
