What's everyone's thoughts and who ya got?

I have Purdue playing Maryland in Championship game......with Purdue winning it.

Purdue 70 Maryland 65

I see Iowa making a run and playing Maryland but running out of gas.......

I see Purdue beating a tough Michigan team and then an athletic Minny team to make up for the losses earlier in the season.

Boiler Up!

Like the NCAA Tournament, I can see this either being very boring - and all top seeds advance as predicted. Or just a complete $hitshow where anyone wins any game.

I have as much confidence in this Purdue team since JJ, Rob, Etwaun team. They seem like they do not want to lose. Biggie is playing with incredible confidence. I do not see us losing.

So hard to predict when we are just speculating on our opponents at this point. I will say that if we win by going through Michigan, Minnesota, and Maryland that I will be beyond impressed.

Given the venue....count me in that as well if that is the Boilers road and final destination.

Indiana University. Tom Crean does his best ever coaching job, gets another three year extension right before the NCAA's, and gets IU to a 7 seed with the win. IU then makes the Sweet 16 again and all is happy in Bloomington

I heard on BTN today that in the 19 years of the tournament the #1 or #2 seed has won 15 times. I didn't know that. I say PU makes it 16 out of 20.

The "outlaws" are: Iowa (6) 2001, Purdue (3) 2009, and Michigan State (3) 2014.

The missing result is the inaugural BTT in 1998 vacated from Michigan (4).

That will be a great trivia question in another generation: "Who won the first men's B1G basketball tournament?

I win all kinds of free drinks with the "Who has the most Big Ten Championships"......

Give them a choice of IU, Michigan and Purdue.....and two tries.....usually the guesses give me two free drinks because they never pick Purdue.

Love it....

Boilers take it, teams like Duke and FSU flame out early, and we move onto the 3 line.

Duke tied at the half vs Clemson right now in the quarters of the ACC

OT - Penn State and Nebraska. Penn State led entire regulation but let a late lead slip...Glynn Watson with a 3-pointer to tie with about a minute left.

Tired of getting dissed. At halftime of the PSU/Neb game the ESPN guy said there were 10 teams that could win the B1G tourney since there were a bunch of good teams but no great ones.

I guess Purdue winning the conference by 2 games isn't enough to be considered a cut above.

ESPN guy is a jerk! Someone somewhere creates a sentence and the rest just repeat it ad nauseum.

Most of those ESPN idiots...er, I mean media types...probably have no idea Purdue even won by two games. Simply repeating what their teammates are repeating.

Attendance was meager tonight. Not that this round typically draws a ton, but will be interested to see what tomorrow looks like.

Yeah most avid basketball fans couldn't tell what state Purdue is in. Not exactly a good thing you are winning drinks.
Hopefully this is the loss that wakes up the best team in the Big or this conference is going to be a non factor
