I think Painter does very little recruiting of 8th graders, even from legacies - see G.Rob III. Way too young and way to little to go on to judge the talent to be BIG worthy.
I think you're right. I just wanted to point out to the MSU guys who keep bringing up the top 25 8th grader video, that it seems to be from a time after moving in and training with Rosie Barnes (as opposed to prior to that time, which they seem to be suggesting).
Shouldn't you be on peegs discussing how Bryant is going to make your team much better defensively, even after he picked up his first foul two minutes in and his second less then halfway through a 15 minutes scrimmage? That's was against players he plays with everyday and sets he already knew about.

I agree MSU has the most insecure fans. Such an inferiority complex stemming from years of being second best to Michigan... in everything. Traditionally, if you're good at STEM, you go to Purdue. If you're good at the humanities/arts, you go to IU. However, in Michigan, if you're smart, you goto UM. If you don't get in there, you look elsewhere. My wife is from Michigan - this is truly how it is.
Although they're still relatively new to being a really good basketball school (only 20 years or so), that's the one thing they can hang their hat on. So when there's even the smallest hint of an insult of their basketball program, they not only act defensive, but attack - because that's all they have to be proud of.
I don't go to MSU boards because... I don't care about MSU. You don't see Illini, Maryland, OSU, Wisconsin, Minnesota, etc. fans swarm over here at the mere mention of their school. It's always MSU and IU. With IU it makes somewhat more sense, because they're at least a rival.
