Wherever my wife tells me I should be
We have beaten TWO top-5 teams this year.

Our OL has demonstrated a LOT of improvement.

We just absolutely DOMINATED the time of possession vs top-5 MSU. (They were 8-0, by the way.)

This is how you build a program, folks. Recruit fundamentally. Continue to build during the season. Continue to build depth.

So much more to say, but this is just impressive.

The OL the last 6 quarters have really ramped things up. Unbelievable improvement.

And I'm not sure how much more I can gush about the D. Incredible job by the staff.

I will admit that I am still down on the OL, at least with respect to running the football...pass protection I would agree has improved.

Most impressive thing about the win this week was the fact that there basically is no running game.

Play calling on the whole was so much better today.

Purdue left points on the field and still managed to beat a good MSU team.

If/when O'Connell is not turning the ball over....he has been good....really good for that matter....still don't understand how he was not the QB from the outset, but, another matter for another day (or not), and, irrelevant at the moment.

Not sure I can recall anyone more impressive than Bell...and, he is STILL vastly underrated (and underappreciated nationally).

Granted kicks were not incredibly difficult, but, nice to see Fineran return to form today as well.

Every team leaves "points on the field". No team is ever perfect.

"...kicks were not incredibly difficult"???? Against the #5/3 team in the nation??? Dude. Just congratulate them and move on. No need to give a, 'yeah, but' nod to "special teams". They performed.
They didn't get the opportunity to ask for kicks to be moved back, just to placate their critics.

Some are just not happy unless they are complaining. Pretty much everyone else has owned up and taken their crow, me included, some just need to nitpick.

Those are the ones you just nod and not take seriously I guess. This was a very good win against a very good team and we not only have beaten TWO top 3 teams in the same season, we're also BOWL BOUND!

I was making the point that despite not being perfect that they still managed to put 40 points on the scoreboard, and, not have that haunt them...it had nothing at all to do with them being perfect or not...it was impressive that they left points on the field (same at Iowa) and still won by double digits in both games.

Nor was I making any backhanded compliment on the FGs...heck, he has missed easy ones...and PATs...I simply was pointing out that it was nice for him to come through...for Purdue's sake, and, for his own sake.

ST was MUCH better today to your point...which was also nice to see...more so in that it has not been good so many other times and in so many ways.

Ended a losing streak as well in having last beat MSU in '06
