Free throws. GTFO
From zzs post below.
Kaufman-Renn's FT Rate is 43.3% this season (0.433 FTs for every 1 FGA). He took 19 shots tonight and didn't shoot a single FT. The probability of that happening is 0.0021% or 1 in 47,600.

That math ain't mathing kids. TKR and Furst combine for 10 fouls...that isn't being called the same on both ends. They don't have Thabeet.

Last 4+ minutes of each half primarily.....lack of execution when it mattered. Unfortunate when Purdue controlled a lot of the action, but you have to learn to close out opponents, especially on the road.
Purdue let it slip for sure. Had some breakdowns and poor decision making. I wonder what the +/- was when TKR and Furst were both on the floor together though?

Really, really, really need Heide to start hitting shots. His 3 point threat is what negated his limitations at the 4. Now he is simply an undersized limitation and Burgess isn't ready. I never give up on guys, so hopefully he's saving all hs makes for this stretch run😁

Yes there was a big disparity in free throws. But a bunch of those FTs were intentional during the last minute of the game. Take out the last minute, and the difference in FTs wasn’t that bad.

Purdue had nice leads in both half’s, but couldn’t hold onto them. Michigan wanted this game and tonight was the better team. There’s nothing wrong with giving Michigan props rather than blaming the refs for losing.

Don’t be that guy who always blames someone else. It’s ok to admit that sometimes losing was our fault. Tomorrow is another day.

We are so lucky to have you and your common sense advice.

Tell me old wise one.

Michigan had 6 fouls with 7 min left in the first half and didn’t get called for another one rest of half.

In second half, Michigan had 6 fouls with 7:45 left. They then got called for their 7th foul with 54 seconds left in the game.

So, you mean to tell me the touch fouls on Purdue were never committed by Michigan on the others end with how physical this game was? Is that what you’re saying?

I’m saying the game was at Michigan. If you follow basketball you would know the home team will get the calls. That’s the way it’s been for the last 50 years. Going in, you would know Purdue would be called for more fouls. Some of Purdue’s fouls at the end of the game were intentional which made the gap seem wider. Some of the fouls were just stupid fouls.

While you can blame the refs and call me names, The difference in fouls was not what determined the outcome of this game. And unlike some of you, I doubt Painter will blame the refs or the difference in fouls as the reason for losing.

So carry on my wayward friend! Don’t fear the reaper! As Trump would say, I was born a rambling man!

I’d like to see him hit an occasional free throw or get a rebound tonight.
Haha hard to hit FTs when you don’t get a ton of opps! But I understand what ya mean. He was the best option we had at the time and need to look at the big picture…these are great mins and experience for him.

That’s….thats not how it works by a mile lmao.

Just because they’re the home team, does not mean they deserve or WILL get the calls.

This is bad, even for you Wole.
